Having been in a clinical trial these past four months, two things have been a problem:
1) I have to take several medications a day, some with varying doses and timing
2) The trial team has discouraged use of weekly pill dispensers/containers due to drug custody and safety issues
This makes remembering to take my medicines an ongoing problem.
Apple, however, has saved the day for me. For those of you with iPhones, there is now a specialized Medication Tracker application embedded in the system. You can enter your various medications and schedule. It will then send alerts at the times you need and provide simple buttons to keep an accurate log.
It's saved me from forgetting to take my meds frequently. And it's more accurate than the paper trial drug diary method; I just got tsked-tsked by my study team for diary omissions but I had a great electronic record that saved the day.
To access from an iPhone (iOS 16, US but might work in other countries as well):
Find your Health app, open it.
Hit the Browse button at bottom.
Scroll down to "Medications", hit that.
Hit "Add Medication", it will walk you through from there.
