Last week I had my 3 monthly PSA check and was happy and surprised to see that it had remained unchanged at 0.07. It had previously been creeping up and I am not currently on any treatement since my Cyberknife to a lymph node in December 21 together with 6 months of bicalutamide. I take a large variety of supplements but c 3 months ago I added 60mg (6 capsules) of Prostaphane a day. Obviously I can't be sure of the impact but it will be interesting to see what my PSA will come in at in 3 months time. I notice the manufacturers state "Prostaphane is ideally taken for 3-6 month period. If you wish to continue after this period we would advise to take a break between cycles". Has anyone had any experience of taking it continuously beyond a 6 months period? I believe that the clinical trial lasted for 6 months. I would be potentially interested in taking it beyond a 6 months period without a break if my next PSA results are reasonably good. I will ask the manufacturer but would be interested to hear of others experiences.

BROQ/Prostaphane
Hey Andy,
Broq/Prostaphane is the strongest of the sulphorophane supplements, and I have never taken it, but... there is no established toxic dose level to 300 mg and a bit higher.. it is supposed to be good for liver cleansing and slow kidney disease progression. There is no reason that it can not be taken daily...
I take Broccomax, but based on research, I will likely switch to Double Woods Sulphorophane ( less pricey), but seems to be just as good. I also eat broccoli sprouts on a sandwich with hummus and spicy mustard on a daily basis. ..
Now, some people state it increases flatulence..and that may be a toxic SE to relationships with others... 😂
Hope that helps... Found your post today... traveling this week...
Take care,
DD
For wife with newly diagnosed kidney cancer, does "kidney disease" include kidney cancer? Dr. Google says yes.
Fred,
It would seem, as per Dr. Google, and seems to be effective in delaying resistance in vitro, and can be utilized with medications, but in vivo studies need to be done. I didn't see any negative studies.
Best of luck to you and the wife...

Lol, you might be eligible for an upcoming trial!
Recent research in animals suggests that hydrogen sulfide — one of the major components of smelly gas, the one that gives it that “rotten egg” smell — might provide some health benefits in humans, from preventing heart disease to kidney failure.

The bottom line
Recent research in animals suggests hydrogen sulfide (one of the main components found in smelly gas) may provide certain health benefits, like preserving heart health or preventing dementia.
Research in humans is needed to further explore this potential treatment.
I've taken BROQ Sulforaphane for about 8 months and haven't had any SE's except of course the mentioned methane. I was already a big producer so my wife has tolerated it pretty well and my 7 year old son loves it!🤣
