My 80 year-old dad with MPCa, broke his leg and now seems to be giving up. Advice on best anti-anxiety meds desperately needed.
Dear PC family As you will see from my profile my dad in England has been on his prostate cancer journey for five years. He was doing well until March, still actively farming though fatigued, and was due to start Radium 223 in April. Sadly, he broke his leg on March 12 in a fall, was put in a full-leg

My PSA keep rising. Today, PSA went up to 1.1 (Today-03/13/24) from 0.37 (January). Doctor told me to take another Eljgard injection next week. This is the 2nd time. Doctor asked me to stop taking bicalutamide and dutasteride, as they appear not to be effective any longer. He said I solely rely

Rising PSA
What are the most Accurate scans for detecting hot spots of cancer? Husband has had several PSMA scans and CT with contrast yet nothing shows up. He had one lymph show up in 2017 on an Auxium scan and it was radiated. 7 years later PSA rising… up to 14. Yet scans show nothing definitive. CT with

Treatment Decision
I am hoping for some guidance for what to do next for my father. My father is in his early 70s, Gleason 8, PSMA and MRI last year showed no spread, but PSA was rapidly raising. He had an organ transplant years ago, and a small stroke, takes anti seizure medications, and has a walking disability due

PSA uptick
Quick background, my dad was diagnosed with metastatic PCa in 2018. Initially treated with docetaxel + ADT. His PSA has been at/near undetected (<0.01-0.02) for several years, but recently there has been an uptick to 0.08 (similar on a recheck, so not lab error). Obviously still low-level, but concerning

To scan or not to scan, that is the question.
I've had my two years on ADT, and now I'm 6 months into my "vacation" (iADT) PSA has hit 2.0, and the plan is to restart ADT when it hits 5.0. Assuming there are no complications, I'm okay with that plan. Also assuming there are no complications, my MO says we won't be doing a PSMA scan, or any radiation

T and PSA levels 6 month post SBRT and 1 month post Orgovyx
Prior to any treatment my PSA was 7.8 and my testosterone was 517. After 9 days of Orgovyx my testosterone was 27.17 At six months post SBRT and 1 month post Orgovyx my PSA is 0.19 and my testosterone is 482. Those numbers look pretty good to me. Stay Strong Brothers.

how to reduce chemo side effects
I will be starting chemo for my prostate cancer in the next few weeks. Any suggestions as to cooling hats, gloves, and/or socks or other ways to reduce the side effects of chemo. What has been your experience with chemo side effects or your endeavors to reduce them? I expect I will be getting a regimen

Radiation PSA, Orgovyx, Bone density Update 2/18/24
Rouge clone radiation on 10/31/23 has PSA from 4.83 on 11/20/23 to 0.85 on 12/18. HOWEVER, PSA up to 1.48 on 1/29/24 then 2.48 on 2/15/24. Waiting MO response but anticipate PET scan, radiation and/or switch to Xtandi. Was hoping to ride the Zytiga therapy as long as possible but I may be there now.

Earlier surrogates of overall survival to speed up new drugs development
there are statisticians (using AI) that are trying to find even earlier predictors to speed up the progress but it seems that progression free survival could already save 2 years for a new drug to be available on the market https://www.pcf.org/news/new-prostate-cancer-foundation-funded-research-to-speed-up-prostate-cancer-clinical-trials-worldwide
