EBRT - Is it the right thing and what to expect?
After DX in November 2018 with Stage IV and Gleason of 5+4 and 4+5, and 5 years of ADT of Lupron (then Orgovyx), prednisone 5mg, and Zytiga 250mg with low fat breakfast, my PSA stayed stable at 0.4 or 0.5. At end of 2013, PSA started rising to latest value of 0.84. Had PSMA PET Scan March 5, 2024

Can Nubeqa (Darolutamide) be used instead of normal ADT drugs for localized PCa?
Hi all. Australia has just given the green light to lower the cost of this so-called wonder drug from a staggering $40K (AUD) to a low $30. It seems that this drug has fewer side effects than the usual ADT drugs and from what I can gather does a pretty good job of preventing the growth and spread

Docetaxel and Carboplatin
I’ve been on the PC journey for 12 years. I’ve had lupron and all the standard “poisons” that we get, including Pluvicto. My PSA is now up to 99.5. I have bone mets in my lower back and sacrum w periodic pain that’s controlled w pain meds. My oncologist is recommending a chemo concoction of Docetaxel

So now I’m 10+ weeks into treatment consisting of Lupron+Abiraterrone and have completed 5 of 20 radiation sessions. In many ways things seem to be going very well. My PSA numbers have gone from 8.4 to .2 and still falling. My side effects have been minimal , only lately have I seen some mild hot

My latest PSA on 6/11/24 was 1.06 up from 0.65 on 4/2/24. I have a meeting with my MO on 4/26 to discuss the next step. I was taking Opdivo immunotherapy from 2/2023 to 2/2024 for bladder cancer. so far my bladder cancer is in check so now I can focus on my PCA. Should I get a PSMA pet? is it time to

Recent dropping of guideline "Post from your own experience".
I find this forum useful and informative, especially when members share from their personal experiences. IMO the dropping of the referenced guideline is not an enhancement to this forum. CRISPR: hopes and research
I will keep you posted, also because it's a very fascinating technique that could potentially solve many health problems (and of course be used for evil...but that's not CRISPR fault, it's a fault in our brain!...which obviously CRISPR cannot fix!) UK Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin availability
I have a fairly urgent decision to make regarding my treatment. For the benefit of our US warriors, the UK National Health Service means that the overwhelming majority of patients do not have private healthcare insurance. I'm one of those. Now, with the decision to switch from Docetaxel to Cabazataxel

psa risen 3 points since diagnosis. Does it mean cancer spread?
I am so grateful for this website as I am learning so much every day about this disease from all of you. My husband started his first injection of Degerelix today and they took his blood work . His psa from April which was 11.4 today was 14.3. I’m hoping this doesn’t mean the cancer is spreading. Could

Hi All, my husband had to abandon radium 223 when it was discovered that he had several lung nodules (around 8mm). His PSA has been increasing for the last 18 months (he was diagnosed August 2022) so his oncologist sent him for a scan after the 4th radium infusion which is how the lung nodules were discovered

Right phrenic nerve paralysis
Path from RP showed extensive perineural involvement. No other risk factors for phrenic nerve paralysis. Haven't talked to MO yet, but sure concerned it's tumor invasion. PSA still <0.04.

Hey Warriors - just had my 12 week blood work since the end of chemo and then also radiation. PSA now at .08 - thats the lowest I have had since contacting this prick of a disease. End of chemo was .52 and .48 so pretty significant. The plan now is to test again every 12wks/3mths and act only upon

Anyone have an opinion on this issue as I prepare to see a MO?
Could the PET/CT SCAN have read the high glucose in my system as met pelvic lymph nodes and met bone? Just asking since I was looking over my medical records for the last 10 years and the calcium number has always been in the mid-range, but the glucose has always been very high. (I am a type 2 diabetic

options after Docetaxel
Hi- I have posted before concerning my brother’s prostate treatment. To give a brief overview- my brother was diagnosed in March 2021. He responded well to Abiraterone for 18 months. Once his PSA starting trending upwards he was put on several sessions of Docetaxel. Unfortunately at this time, he
