Getting on with life.
My prostate has been removed, my psa is rising. I am not on medication. Basically, just getting on with life. Refusing to let this nonsense get me down. Thoughts anyone ?

HoLEP for BPH followed by SBRT several months later for 4+3 = 7 PCa. Is it preferable to do the HoLEP before the SBRT?
Diagnosed with BPH (80 cc prostate) and prostate cancer - Gleason 4+3 in 2 cores - less than 30%, 3+3 in 2 cores, benign in 8 cores. Stage T1c. PSMA-Pet no metastasis. PSA 8.8. Decipher 0.51. PSA density 0.11. Having HoLEP in May 2024 then SBRT several months later.

Dental Issues with Finesteride
I am 7 years post full gland HIFU surgery. Quality of life remains good. I've been off ADT all this time. PSA has been slowly rising and hit 2.8. My urologist put me on finesteride. It prevents the conversion of T to DHT. Five weeks after starting on it I experienced an onslaught of dental problems.

xtandi failing?
In September last year my PSA was 0.06. Three months later PSA was 0.09. I asked my doctor if xtandi was failing. He told me not necessarily, once your PSA reached its lowest point, it tends to go up and down before it settles down. He told me they would check my PSA in six weeks, six weeks later

combining standard PCA care with alternative care
In a three month period my PSA went from 58 to 70. Obviously my testosterone was producing more new cancer cells than my alternative treatment. I started the combination treatment on Dec 1 by taking 2 ORGOVYX. Dec 15 my PSA is 27.5 and I will take one more ORGOVYX today hoping to reduce PSA to 10

Docetaxel and Carboplatin
I’ve been on the PC journey for 12 years. I’ve had lupron and all the standard “poisons” that we get, including Pluvicto. My PSA is now up to 99.5. I have bone mets in my lower back and sacrum w periodic pain that’s controlled w pain meds. My oncologist is recommending a chemo concoction of Docetaxel

PSA on the rise
Good morning everyone, my PSA has been undectable, {<.01} since July 2022. Not real long, but it has been a good time. Felt good, no pain, can look on my profile for more details. I am on Xtandi and Lupron--(3 months). (I had taxetere in 2021) I get my PSA checked every three months right before

PSA post Salvage Radiation
Prior post: My husband, at diagnosis had 3+4 on a couple of samples and chose to have surgery. He had clean margins and reached undetectable PSA after Prostatectomy. Near the end of 5th year after surgery his PSA became detectable. He did salvage radiation at .09 PSA. His PSA went down to .08 after

Right phrenic nerve paralysis
Path from RP showed extensive perineural involvement. No other risk factors for phrenic nerve paralysis. Haven't talked to MO yet, but sure concerned it's tumor invasion. PSA still <0.04.

How prostate cancer transforms into aggressive NEPC following treatment with anti-androgen therapy.
This could be a game changer as it could stop PCa from progressing. Science is going to save us. The development of effective anti-androgen therapies for prostate cancer is a major scientific advance. However, some men who receive these targeted treatments are more likely to develop a deadly treatment-resistant

options after Docetaxel
Hi- I have posted before concerning my brother’s prostate treatment. To give a brief overview- my brother was diagnosed in March 2021. He responded well to Abiraterone for 18 months. Once his PSA starting trending upwards he was put on several sessions of Docetaxel. Unfortunately at this time, he

Starting Chemo again, Cabazitaxel Has anybody experienced any side effects that have been unusually bad?
After having been NED for the past six years I now have to go back on Chemo treatments. The first round of Chemo was with Taxotere and now My Cancer has become castrate resistant. PSA is now no longer a good indicator for disease progression. I'm not looking forward to doing this but it's what has to

Orgyvx + alternative treatment
On Dec 1 I took two Orgyvx and dropped my PSA from 70 to 27.8 on Dec 15. I took one more Orgyvx Dec 15 and it dropped to 14.8 on Jan15. At this level I believe the alternative, clioquinol + zinc + ivermectine, will kill more cancer cells than my body produces new ones. On Feb 13, I meet my oncologist
