My doctors are so pleased with this million dollar treatment, um, with how well I am doing
I feel great, I think my QOL has been improved by my Alk Phos dropping back into the normal range. I'm keeping my fingers crossed going forward.
Side effects:
• A little tired, but that is offset by a week of steroids. It hasn't lasted more than a week after the are steroids tapered off
• Upset gut or "slight nausea" which went away and came back -- now taking an anti-nausea drug that has taken care of this.
Mar 25: Pluvicto #6 and the end of this course of treatment. My RO PA did mention, as I've read on here, that the drug manufacturer is actively pursuing approval for multiple courses of Pluvicto. So we'll see where my PSA ends up in April and then see what my MO has to say.

No. I had a bi-lateral orchiectomy (castration) so I no longer have to take any anti-androgen to control testosterone. Also, NUBEQA® (darolutamide) is for non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and my cancer is metastatic (was that way when diagnosed).
And, wow, now that I'm off Lupron and Xtandi my mind is back and now that my cancer load is so much lower I feel less like doing everything is such a challenge. Before I felt like I was fighting my way through an increasing fog and now all that has cleared.
Don't know where I ran across the info for my statement above about Nubeqa -- it may have been an old page Google coughed up as I always scroll past all the drug company sponsored stuff on page one looking for something from NIH or CDC.
In any case my disease is no longer hormone sensitive.
Pluvicto is applying the brakes to my fully metastatic PC as well.
I will be getting my 5th out of 6 Pluvicto (Lu 177) infusions Thursday next week.
I am responding well to it.

Some of the bothersome bone mets have resolved and Spec CT scan shows less intensity in most of the bone mets.
Only bothersome side effect is dry mouth but very tolerable. I am somewhat anemic but I cant pin it on Pluvicto due to other health conditions and the years of having PC and the treatment for it. Developing Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome has been a crux in what would I think otherwise be a good QOL while under Pluvicto treatment.
Meant this to be a reply to you but ended up posting it in this thread. D'oh!
Same here with the dry mouth, and smoking medical marijuana at night doesn't help but...
I had a very queasy stomach until my Primary Care prescribed Ondansetron HCL 4 mg – 1 tablet up to 3 times a day as needed for nausea. One in the morning and one in the afternoon has eliminated it entirely for me and has really been a boost in QOL.
Glad you got some relief from Ondansetron. It and cannabis help a little when I am in the initial phase of cyclical vomiting but eventually nothing works although I am not on the final treatment yet which may include tranquilizing med. Its a weird condition. No known cause but possibly genetic and related to the same causes for migraines which I and family members had/have.
Could be worse. Thankfully the Pluvicto is working anyway to reduce my cancer load.
