Should I Add Docetaxel to Lupron and Zytiga?
I have been on Lupron and Abiraterone for most of my almost 12 years of treatment. Triplet therapy was not SOC when I was first dx'd. I am just wondering why, Docetaxel isn't routinely added to those of us who started on doublet therapy before we become resistant to the doublet therapy. My guess is that

Lupron Injection denied by Medicare Advantage PPO plan
My husband will need Lupron injections monthly x4. Two before starting radiation, and 2 during radiation treatment. The insurance, Medicare Advantage PPO, denied it. Anyone successfully appealed the denial? Any suggestions from the group? I checked and Medicare part D covers Lupron for the treatment

Side effects from Xtandi monotherapy?
after failing multiple times on regular ADT plus SBRT and finally failing LU– 177 and Provenge, my PSA went on the rise again. I’ve been on mono Xtando for six weeks and not feeling well despite trying to exercise heavily. Going in for bloodwork tomorrow. What kind of labs should I ask for? Anyone

What is Your Opinion on Docetaxel Added to Doublet Therapy for Early Oligorecurrent Metaststic M1a Prostate Cancer?
Hello, I have touched on this subject before, but it is something that is nagging at me and giving me some sleepless nights. My husband’s bio is updated for reference. At one year post prostatectomy with Stage 3b, he rose from 0.06 to 0.273 in three mos. At psa of 0.16 , a PSMA scan showed three sub

Opinions on my 2nd MRI results
Hello, I just received the results from 2nd MRI (results below and photos in reply), previous one was from Jan/2023 (results in bio). Having been on these forums for almost two years now, and in AS at UCLA, I highly value the opinion of those here that have similar experiences to my situation. Questions

Holding very low stable usPSA - 0.03X range for six years; no ADT, no chemo.
Eight years ago this month had RP after considerable investigation - nadir 0.050. Eleven months later had salvage RT; done at 0.10. Then after a year of pondering ADT and chemo, when my usPSA was back up to 0.10, I went to Europe for Ferrotran nano-MRI combined with Ga68 PSMA. The nanoMRI lite up

When is PARP introduced?
Hi My husband is currently on triple therapy ( Docetaxel chemo , Zoladex every 3 months and nubeqa) he has one more chemo round left next week. He is responding well so far as PSA is declining ( see profile for PSA) . I have seen some men are talking a PARP inhibitor and nubeqa and zoladex ( or ADT

More Evidence Linking ADT for PCa to Adverse Neurocognitive Effects -Meta-analysis shows increased risk of dementia, Parkinson's, depression
As if we needed more reasons to dislike or avoid ADT, here is additional evidence of negative neurocognitive effects. This MedPage Today article will expecially be of special interest to those of us well into our "Golden Years" and on or considering ADT.

Working with Stage IV
First time posting (be gentle) Anybody else still at work with the disease. I’ve contributed to a pension for 24 years, and with being diagnosed, am I being foolish staying at work. Note-minimum retirement is 58 at my work. Also, did read this right, ADT only gives about 10 mos. to 1 year increase

Non metastasis castrate resistant
When you are on ADT and become Non metastatic Castrate resistant and your testosterone levels are below zero, what is the cancer feeding off to cause the PSA to still rise? Hoping for your replies so as to give me some understanding. Thank you.

Treatment
My dears, after RP (Gleason 7, 4+3, infected 3 lymph nodes) and lymphadetectomy, radiation and hormone therapy for 39 months, my oncologist took me off hormone therapy with the recommendation of PSA control every 3 months. The last three PSA readings (every three months) were 0.01 / 0.00 / 0.00, I expect
