Ok folks, has anyone come across something like this?...early 2018, PSA in the 50's, biopsy came back negative, a few months later PSA in the 60's, again, another biopsy and a negative finding, 3rd time in the 80's with yet another negative biopsy, then nuclear imaging and bam...stage 4 metastatic, this is in Dec of 2019, started Lupron every 6 months, went 7 weeks of radiation, PSA drops and holds at >0.01 (undetectible), stays that way for a year, we stop the Lupron, PSA stays at that less than 0.01 for right at a year and starts a slow climb, at 0.8 I start zityga and prednisone, this lasts about 4 weeks, PSA back at that undetectable range BUT, my liver didnt like the zytiga, so we decide to stop the zytiga and see what the numbers do, and for 6 months it stays at that undetectable range, but once again we start to see a slow rise in the numbers, at 0.7 we hit the pet scanner (yesterday)...good quality scan...and the results were "disease not detected"...We will re-test in 3 months...so, I'm cautiously optomistic, i've been down this road before with numbers and "not detected"...but the numbers are really still very low and I'm curious if anyone has seen this type of number behavior...by the way, I have a very positive mind set, exercise daily and have not missed a single day of work over the past 5 years...color me hopeful...but leery at the same time...is it truly time to do a happy dance??
