A bit exasperated...advice please?
Hi all, I wonder if I could maybe just vent a little and also maybe get some advice for which direction to go next. I feel like I have been round the houses, as I'm sure many of you have also felt. Having paid to see a private thyroid doctor, who then referred me to an endocrinologist - who both said

Low TSH & Low FT4
I had a baby a year ago (11/13) and recovered really well at first after a natural birth and no apparent complications. I started eating healthily and walking an hour a day after my 6 week check in January. I lost weight and was getting fitter again. I started taking the oestrogen based Yasmin pill in

Got and started my NDT! (Nature Throid)
Hi guys, Following on from my initial post of about 3 weeks ago...I've received my bottles of 1 grain and 1/4 grain Nature Throid from the US which only took a week to arrive and it worked out really cheap! Being on 100 mcg of Levothyroxine (synthetic T4) coupled with a lot of reading led me to start

New endo appointment and new blood results - help appreciated :)
Quick back story is that I've been hypo since age 21 (now 38) have TPO antibodies so I'm assuming hashi's. Saw an endo for the first time in April who agreed to me trialing 10mcg of T3 with my 125mcg of levo which has made no difference. That endo wouldn't prescribe a higher dose of T3 as I had surpressed

Growth Hormone Deficiency?
A member on here who's been a great help has suggested I get checked for human growth hormone deficiency as I have a lot of the symptoms. My Cortisol is also high and so is prolactin. I've had my results back of my Pituitary MRI and all seems fine there. So was wondering if anyone has been diagnosed

Can anti-depressants cause problems with the pituitary gland?
I have heard that they can and make people produce more prolactin.

Hello, I would appreciate some advice as GP is not being helpful. Since 2011 my health has declined and I eventually got a diagnosis of subclinical hypothyroidism. Here is my treatment journey/results since March 2014. March 2014 - I had many of the symptoms (fatigue, brain fog, aching arms, sensitivity

Not sure what to think about the Endo appointment
Hi all. I went to see the endo as expected and was told from the outset that he was looking for hormone problems that may have been over looked by the consultant overseeing my recovery this past month. Fine I thought. He asked me when I started on thyroxine to which I replied about 12 / 13 years ago
