First level completed. Hurray! What next?
Hi all, first of all, many thanks for all of you for supporting me through my diagnosis of infertility, which happened quite in a "crude" way (an ectopic pregnancy that doomed my right tube and the contemporary discovery of a left hydrosalpinx) at the end of May this year. After several (useless) appointments

Finally prescribed some DHEA supplements, but I am nervous about potential side effects!
I have had a long batle with extreme fatigue for the last 2 years, along with a range of other symptoms which have been progressively been getting worse! After 2 years of repeated bloods, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRI's the trail led to an issue with my hormones. The majority of hormonal blood tests

Hyperthyroid - What else is there to do?
I’m a female, 33 years old, married, no kids. I discovered I had hyperthyroidism about 3 months ago. I’d gone in for an obgyn appt because I missed a period in March and then had a very light period in April. We were hoping to start getting pregnant. The doctor did a blood test that showed it was a problem

Primary Lymphedema in 4 limbs & Venous Disease :(
Hi guys, I posted almost a year ago when I was first diagnosed with Primary Lymphedema at age 44. The hospital repeated the scan this year due to extravasion (leaking) of the dye during my first scan. I was praying they had the diagnosis wrong & that it would all be a terrible mistake! How wrong could

Hi all, Apologize for the length. I was diagnosed with Hashi's in 2014. No raised antibodies, but TBG was elevated. OMG! An honest and frank GP?
I am gobsmacked. I recently changed GP practice after fervent recommendation from local friends. Initially saw the locum. They phoned me the day they received my forms and I had an appointment with the locum that afternoon. She listened. I explained what I thought was going on. I then apologised for

Hello everybody, on this site I have met many people with similar problems that are currently plaguing me. That's why I signed up here in the hope that you can help me further. I will try to keep that in a nutshell. In a clinic during end of 2017 I took 100-200 mg of Trazodone for the depression

Help! Sudden and severe thyroid issue when pregnant and breastfeeding?
I went to the Emergency Room because the symptoms were so severe. Around the time of implantation (10 days past ovulation) I became very tired, my arms and legs became weak, jittery, shaky, feels like nerves are surging, high anxiety and trouble walking and balance issues and some dizziness. Heart sometimes

The forgotten effects of thyrotropin-releasing hormone: metabolic functions and medical applications
An interesting (and quite long) paper. It certainly is true that you can spend a very long time reading about thyroid and hardly ever see TRH mentioned.
