Brilliant Endo....At Last! ....Dr S. Z.
To anyone out there looking for a Endocrinologist who actually gives a damn and adopts a more holistic approach to diagnosing and treating thyroid disease then I can not recommend Dr. S. Z. highly enough. He is the first Dr. in the UK whom I actually felt at ease with and confident after seeing that

Dizziness increased
Dizziness been a huge scary issue for 2 years. Past few weeks its debilitating and to confuse things more i feel like I don't even have the energy left to be afraid of it. Heart acting fine just can't lift my head or even look up at times. No vertigo just vision disturbance and disorientation. Numb

Hi All Really am at the end of my tether with a disinterested GP and a seemingly clueless endo. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 3 years ago after a battle with my GP over my TSH result which was nearing 6. I felt awful, was experiencing many symptoms to include a feeling like wading through mud,

Frustration is Increasing
I posted a few months ago and have been frustrated since. I've now been unwell for over a year. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 30 years ago and that seemed to resolve with synthroid. Then I had large nodules and one lobe of my thyroid removed 10 years ago. Taken off all thyroid replacement after that

It turns out that I have high prolactin levels

Feeling like a YoYo
Been dealing with hashimotos going on 16 years. I call it the "Roller Coaster Ride From Hell"! I have been as high as 300 mcg Levthyroxin due to Antibodies being high. Hashimotos makes the TSH SWING Up&down. When your numbers are high its Hypo & when the numbers are low its Hyper! Example of hashimotos

Greetings everyone, I have move to UK recently, so I am not much aware about NHS rules. In my country I was treated for for FT3 and FT4, but I have stop taking medicine 'cause it was very expensive ( Imagine to pay 400 GBP every time when you go to chemist...) Results from abroad for FT4 are before

Help interpreting test results
I've been trying to figure out what is going on with my thyroid for the last year. In August of last year, my TSH was 2.3. The Dr. did not test T4 at that time. In October I was hospitalized and TSH was 5.7 T4 was .95. He did test prolactin then, and it was elevated. This week we had blood work done

Hormonal changes after localized PCa treatment.
Fascinating new study from Spain [1]. Brought to mind a 1998 Patrick Walsh study (Johns Hopkins) [2]. Hormone levels were measured before surgery & one year after surgery: "... there was a statistically significant increase in serum testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, LH and FSH .., and statistically

B12 and prolactin
Hi was wondering if anyone else suffers with high prolactin? I was diagnosed with PA 10years ago and currently self inject cyanocobalamin monthly. I am being investigated for fertility issues - namely absent periods. On a blood test my prolactin was then found to be high (900). I was commenced on cabergoline
