Curious about long time tic
Hi, for as long as i can remember ive always had this strange tic that it seems like no one else has. I get words, phrases, sometimes even songs, stuck in my head, either from hearing them, reading them, or saying them myself, and then will repeatedly mouth the words to myself inside my own mouth, silently

Has anyone else experienced Pica before?
Hi, Has anyone else ever had Pica before that was associated with depression/anxiety? I've noticed I'm having these severe, odd cravings for: rocks, borax, laundry soap, sand. It's not a suicidal thing at all and I haven't eaten anything because I know how damaging/deadly that could be but I can't even

A series of my problems (3/3)
With everything going on in the world right now, I know my problems are petty and childish, but they're on my mind, and I am afraid if I don't get them out I'll have an emotional explosion. I have three main ones and they're long so I just broke them up. I know I know...excessive, but I got nothing else

Switching to depakote?
My geodon treatment makes me kind of miserable every afternoon so we might try something else. Does anyone have experience with depakote? I have bipolar disorder type 2, and I don't see depression as being something it's listed to treat, just mania. Do you take anything else? How does it make you feel

Lowering my Effexor and geodon
This is day 2 of lowering my doses. Yesterday I felt so much better. The side effects of my meds make me feel pretty bad. My psych doc said I can do this. Right now I have chills a little headache and nausea and anxiety. I took pain reliever, I’m going to take nausea and anxiety medicine and drinks lots

Why do people have multiple ablations?
Before I had my ablation I was told that the success rate was 70%, so for 30% of people it didn't work at all or maybe it didn't work perfectly and they would need one or more procedures. Presumably that is because not all of the electrical signals were found but maybe not. Maybe it only worked for

Synthroid withdrawal
If I only took Synthroid 100mg for 7 days and 50mg of Tirosint for 5 days...how long until it is out of my system. The side effects are horrific and unbearable, but I don’t want to jump right on armour until I feel somewhat better. Thank you. Going through a rough time right now.

ALWAYS get a second opinion
I have been through 5 psychiatrists in my life. 3 were absolutely terrible and didn't know what they were doing. This is very common in psychiatry. The quality control is probably the worst of all fields of medicine. It is a guessing game. No lab work to refer to, no ultrasound or biopsy. It's a trial

Weaning off Effexor
I've been on Effexor for over 10 years with great success. However, I recently saw my Sleep doc who thinks that it may be causing my PLMD, which in turn can make me cranky and edgy during the day. He has recommended that I try and reduce my dose of Effexor from 300mg/day. I had a malabsorbtive procedure

Nitric oxide a possible treatment for COVID-19.
Researchers at Uppsala University have found that an effective way of treating the coronavirus behind the 2003 SARS epidemic also works on the closely related SARS-CoV-2 virus, the culprit in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The substance concerned is nitric oxide (NO), a compound with antiviral properties

Post ablation palpitations?
Hello. I just had a cardiac ablation yesterday for SVT. They said I had 2 nodes and pathways and that they found the circuit and ablated it and considered it successful. Since getting home I’m getting almost constant flutters and palpitations. (Pre-procedure they were induced by running/jumping/swimming
