Switching to depakote?

My geodon treatment makes me kind of miserable every afternoon so we might try something else.

Does anyone have experience with depakote? I have bipolar disorder type 2, and I don't see depression as being something it's listed to treat, just mania. Do you take anything else? How does it make you feel?

So what it is supposed to do I think is stabilize the moods, keeping the depression and mania away so that there is balance.
