Cardiac Ablation Recovery for AVRT
Hey all! I'd like to see if anyone can weigh in on what I am going through here... I'm a healthy 38 y/o male who got SVT suddenly in September 2021. It initially came on several hours after playing hockey, but then happened sporadically with triggers besides exercise. It would last anywhere from a few

I have found the Therapulse device to be very effective in managing my RLS. I had a cardiac ablation for atrial fibrillation last week and am now in the three month recovery period, just easing back into normal life, and trying to avoid any triggers for AF. Using the Therapulse never seemed to affect

I had cardiac ablation for WPW following an episode of SVT a few years ago and had no cardiac issues following that. Recently I attended A&E twice with chest pain, bloods normal but ecg read non specific abnormality

How soon to resume taper after cardiac ablation?
I was on 7mg prednisone, easing into 6.75, when I had my cardiac ablation on April 15. Went back to 7 mg however, upped it with cardiac inflammation, 5 mgs for 5 days and resumed 7. Then I developed a chest cold with fever and put on abx. Used sick day rules and now back to 7. It takes 3 months for

Second cardiac ablation attempt
Hi there, I am a 31M fit and healthy and suffer from a high frequency of left ventricle premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) with a ~18% burden. They are coming from a small area near the LF papillary muscle . I had an ablation under a very skilled EP in London who successfully ablated the problematic

cardiac ablation good experience
hi everyone, I have just had my cardiac catheter ablation for my ventricular ectopic beats ( I have a very high ectopic load) It has gone well and I was really well looked after by the team . In case anyone is waiting for their ablation thought it might be helpful to share my experience. In my case

Ovulation induction: feeling emotionally drained
I’ve started my first round of ovulation induction for PCOS with Letrozole 2.5mg. Had my day 10 scan yesterday. Follicles very small and no dominant follicle. Been TTC for 18 months (which I know isn’t that long compared to others), have put so much into this process - I have lost so much weight to

Am I expecting too much from my clinic?
I have been on a rollercoaster of emotions which has just peaked in a major breakdown and we haven't even started IVF yet. I feel this is due to the clinic messing me about. I had a hycosy which showed tubes blocked. Waited 6 months for laproscopy which confirmed but surgeon said he managed to unblock

Will they consider my BMI if I go private
I'm BMI ~32.5 right now and I need to be <30 to be eligible for ovulation induction. This has been very frustrating as I struggle to lose weight due to PCOS and I'm also not getting any help with managing my pcos as well. Which means I'm running in a circle. If I go private, is it the same thing with

Female 65. I had a cardiac ablation on 16 Jan 2024. It was the worse thing I ever gone through. I felt everything and told the consultant. He said I had a low pain threshold. The nurse in the ward congratulated me for not requiring much medication! ( I have done fire walks with less pain) I was totally

Ovulation induction
I was extremely lucky and had a last minute cancellation for NHS fertility appointment (original was for October this year - would’ve been 10 months post GP referral). It was actually a really good appointment with lots of time given to discuss options and made me feel more hopeful. I am likely to

high amh levels
I’ve been told my AMH levels are 67.1, way out of the normal range. Have PCOS and thin lining which is likely due to high AMH. I have a cycle of 33-35 days but light periods. Having a hycosy this week. Is ovulation induction unlikely to be an option? Thanks

Heart Issues post Ivor Lewis
Hi, wondering if any of you that have had the Ivor Lewis surgery have had heart issues post surgery? At 3 years post surgery I started having atrial fibralation. Now 5 years post surgery and the afib is worse but I also have Braychardia ( very low heart rate) Looks like I will need a cardiac ablation

treatment for thin lining?
Hello, I’ve got PCOS but ovulate and have an average cycle of 32 days. I’ve been told I have a thin lining 4-5mm. I saw a private dr who gave me cyclogest post ovulation and I’ve used it for two cycles, which have both resulted in a negative test. Does anyone know what the treatment is for a thin lining

Confused about AMH and letrozole/trigger and IVF
Hi, I have a history of early miscarriages. Under recurrent miscarriage clinic, I am told to take progesterone and aspirin from positive results, and clexane from 6 week scan. I've not had any medicine under previous pregnancies that led to miscarriages. I also have very low AMH. Experts have said usually

Atrioesophageal fistula (AEF)
Heads up to those undergoing cardiac ablation for Afib…had my ablation 12/6/23. Everything went great! Been in normal rhythm ever since! No bleeding, no hematoma, no real discomfort. However I woke up to abdominal pain, pain between shoulder blades and sore throat. 3 nights post op woke up to a burning
