Looking for pointers: long term (chronic) fatigue, now fibromyalgia
Hi there, I'm writing this on behalf of my wife, having obtained good advice on HealthUnlocked regarding my own health conditions and hoping to help her via this forum. My wife is (understandably) somewhat jaded, having exhausted conventional/semi conventional doctors without finding much interest in

Has anybody tried Alflorex
probiotics
. My consultant recommended them. I’ve been on them for a month but they are £25 for 30 tablets. Wondered if anyone has tried them & if they have worked for them.

1yr 3 months Sober but still Scared
I’m a 38 year older female that has always been thin and in shape. I started heavily drinking around the age of 24. It started off slowly. Bartending and waitressing was my occupation of choice back then. Mostly because you were almost encouraged to drink while working at the places I worked. I took

Stopped - L. reuteri probiotic (DSM 17938). My latest trial in an ongoing search to alleviate my IBS related symptoms (chronic dysbiosis?)
I stopped taking this probiotic because it's also not beneficial. I will try a combination of berberine and cinnamon now. On the 14th of December 2021 I have an appointment with my gastroenterologist to discuss the result of the lactulose breath test. My latest trial starts as from the 30th of October

Repeat of EMMA test?
I had the test as part of a combined ERA/EMMA/ALICE but I had abnormal results, so had to take antibiotics and then
probiotics
. But I had no symptoms before and am now worried about whether or not the treatment has worked to sort out my endometrial environment.

MSA with Ambroxol HCL - a tentative success story!
Final edit update! Writing this 13/2/23. While our success with early ambroxol looked positive, her disease progression continued. At this point my guess is that it affects downstream symptoms, but only clinical trials will be able to say if it slows progression. Also, although it did greatly improve

connection between arrhythmia symptoms and candida yeast overgrowth and the elimination of such symptoms by using probiotics
I'm interested in the connection between arrhythmia symptoms and candida yeast overgrowth and the suppression/elimination of symptoms with supplementation with
probiotics
, such as acidophilus and bifidus friendly bacteria? does anyone have any experience with such a protocol?

What’s wrong with me?
I’ve never had GI issues before in my life. 3 months ago, almost overnight, I started having issues with bowel movements. I constantly feel like I have to poop, like my rectum is full. I strain and nothing usually comes out. What does is pretty soft, so it’s not constipation. My stool is… weird. It’

Probiotic supplementation may confer advantageous therapeutic potential for people with PD (lowers inflammation)
.20 Overall,
probiotics
supplementation for 12 weeks in PD patients significantly improved gene expression of IL-1, IL-8, TNF-α, TGF-β and PPAR-γ, but did not affect gene expression of VEGF and LDLR, and biomarkers of inflammation and oxidative stress.
