gallbladder removal
Hello, I had my gallbladder removed a week ago today (keyhole). Recovery from surgery has been an absolute breeze, other than I slept for 4 days solid; despite telling pre op nurse, anaesthetist, recovery and ward nurse that I have PA and B12 deficiency and reacted very badly to an anaesthetic 10 years

avoided prem as long haul flights pending. Lots of increasing pain so was almost desperate to start meds when home! now day 4 on 15mg and noticeable difference. Saw GP yesterday, thinks a ( diagnosed) frozen shoulder may not be helped by Prem. See comments about low carb diet. Any advice please

Just been diagnosed with PMR 3 weeks after having Gall Bladder removed??
Iāve just been diagnosed with PMR after 3 weeks of severe pain in shoulders, arm, wrists, hips & thighs. Taking 15mg of Prednisolone & will be starting Cali-D & Alendronic in a few days. My question is and no doctor has told me yes or no is this anyway connected to my bout of gallstones and acute pancreatitis

The things pred does to blood sugar & weight ā oh joyā¦
Apologies in advance to those who may have read a variation on this as a reply to a thread started by Shires123. When I was diagnosed with PMR nearly 4 years ago, I was also about 20kg overweight and I went on a 20gm carbs "keto" diet (based on information on the dietdoctor website recommended by others

Can Amitriptyline stop working?
Hi all. Iāve been on amitriptyline for just over 2 years now. Increased a number of times to take me to 90mg per nocte. It was a godsend initially and although I feel the effect on pain has lessened over time it has helped me a lot with falling and staying sleep up to recently. I am in the midst of a

Hi! I'm new and excited to meet others and learn about your journey
Good afternoon. I'm new to the group. I already posted an item, but thought I should introduce myself. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in 2010. Had a mastectomy. Went on tamoxifen for 2 years, then quit because it made me feel miserable. No chemo. In 2022, I was once again diagnosed

Hello To You All
My husband and I continue to eat low carb, about 4 years now. Any one else continuing? Rather disappointing that low carb doesn't have a higher profile in many countries. Any idea why? My husband has also been looking into the omega 3 omega 6 ratio in our foods and the absolute intake of omega 6.

Wedding coming up. LCHF advice?
Morning all. I have one of my niece's weddings coming up mid September, below are the menu choices. I have chosen menu 1 as it looks overall less dangerous for an LCHF diet. I am happy to "donate" my dessert to one of my massively tall nephews š and not eat any potatoes/bread that might go alongside

Self sabotage
I had a good day yesterday, my husband went away for two weeks but I am fine on my own. I cooked a nice diet friendly meal for myself. There was a small amount of wine in an open bottle so I had a glass, then decided to finish the wine another glass and a half. But then I just wanted to eat icecream,
