It is not uncommon for PMR to have been misdiagnosed as frozen shoulder though if it is only on one side frozen shoulder is a possibility. But after only 4 days the pred hasn't had much of a chance yet to clear out deep-seated inflammation - some of mine in hips and feet took a few months to go completely.
The standard management of frozen shoulder includes cortisone injections.

If both shoulders hurt it could well be due to PMR - often one side is worse than the other. And if they get the njection in the wrong place - doesn't help!
