Feeling very unwell - do my blood results explain why? What to do next?
Hi Mid August My NDT was increased from 2.5 to 3 grains. By the last week in September I began to feel what I describe as a 'bit off' , these feelings come and go. My partner had covid , I tested negative a couple of times. I did have a bit of cough and sore throat but that lasted only a couple

Having Crohn’s disease I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this drug and if it has proven to be effective or not? my diet is pretty limited at moment but I’m hearing that this will inhibit inflammation to allow me to open up my diet more.

Summer, come back! (because I’m back!)
Three weeks ago I caught some form of Covid-stomach bug, and I was down for a good 10 days, seldom having felt so ill! Once I started to eat reasonably normal again, I introduced some gentle rowing, and then a couple of tentative, little runs last week marked my progress. They felt great! And they

IBS-C - have had this for life and is playing up again now
I remember being taken to hospital at a pre-school age because I had a 'blockage.' After that my mother gave me castor oil, enos, sennapods, that Ex-Lax chocolate that would not fool a 4 year old, prunes. You name it I had it and I can never remember having a bowel movement normally. I could go for

low sodium diet
hi all, reading the last few comments this is where my husband is basically at. He is on diuretics but not been told a low sodium diet but I understand it is needed. We don’t use a lot of salt but is there some kind of check sheet that anyone has been given? Wishing all a healthy future. Thanks in

Diabetes, pre-diabetes and a low carb diet
We bang on about cutting carbs when on pred and I thought you might be interested in this article about extremely low carb diets and reversing diabetes and weight gain. It isn't in pred patients but it does show how going low carb works and that it is sustainable on a relatively low income. The only

No Success with Renadyl for me....
Hello: Just wanted to post my experience with taking Renadyl. First, my Nephrologist never recommended it and I wondered why? Of course, if this did work for me, he couldn't recommend dialysis or a transplant and make money from it. A Renal Dietitian did recommend it. I tried Renadyl for six months but

Carbs vs. Fats vs. Protein
Has anyone come across research that speaks to what is the best diet strategy in terms of macros? I just finished my last radiation treatment! However, I will still be on ADT/Lupron for another 4 months. So it’s time to buckle up and get back to a cancer-preventive diet along with my current exercise

I lost 35lbs in 2023-2024 but have been plateauing for a while. I started the diet due to high blood pressure and I've seen my blood pressure reduce from 140/90 to 120/80. I am now on a low carb diet recommended by my GP and am enjoying the recipes available. I have cut out all starchy foods: bread

Should I go back on 1 or 2 mg prednisone due to fatigue?
Hello friends! After a four year term of GCA, while doing a very slow taper of prednisone l have been off of prednisone for several months. Occasionally if I’m very fatigued I take a 1 mg. I have been very fatigued for the last few days and I’m wondering if I should maybe go back on a daily 1 mg
