RA pain & inflammation causing terrible anxiety: pacing, insomnia
These drs have no problem giving expensive, “big gun” RA meds & high dose
prednisone
- but won’t give Valium or Ativan. That’s just cruel..,,bad medicine. The psychiatrist I saw needs a psychiatrist, Any suggestion?

Two Qs: Benefits treatment; onset of bone pain
Been on Aberiterone and
Prednisone
for three months now (along with Lupron) and appears to bringing PSA back down. So my first question is what do others feel about the benefits or efficacy of treatment. My research indicates that being MCRPC, I probably have 2-4 years.

update on Prednisone taper below 5 mg and question about timing of daily dose
I think I will continue to take the
prednisone
~ 5 am. What I wonder is, if I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, could I take the
prednisone
then? Or could I take the
prednisone
at 11 pm or midnight? I’m often up at that time.

I took 2 extra
prednisone
yesterday; what do you think I should do today? Still pretty sick and weak; if it is some kind of intolerance to something, it will take a few days to clear out. In the meantime, I’m sitting down resting all day. Thanks.

Seasonal Allergies Meds
I called doctor today and he prescribed
Prednisone
. He claimed that is generally safe on the liver. I’m not very trusting of their medical advice. Does anybody on this forum have allergies along with the liver issues and if you do what has been prescribed?

Need help understanding Enzalutamide
His pain immediately disappeared and 2 1/2 years later he still has no pain (might have been my constant prayers helped with that 😊) Degarilix failed after 7 months, started with a wonderful MO who put him on Lupron shot and abiraderone/
prednisone

tapered too fast
We have adjusted those items and are now raising his
Prednisone
back up to 5mg. We hope that this helps. How long can PMR hang around?

Supplements and self-care
I then added abiraterone and
prednisone
which has brought my PSA down to 1.4 in July and my last test this month it went up to 2.0 but I have read there can be a margin of error in the PSA test so I’m not too worried.

Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc?
She’s been able to taper to a pretty low dose of
prednisone
-but this last flare was bad. I’m wondering if any of you have tried the diabetic/weight loss drugs that are out now, and if they have had any effect on your PMR?

My story of my 23 year battle with Pca.
Other numbers normal so far however wbc was elevated slightly which is probably due to
prednisone
. Hind sight is always 2020 but if I would have had a crystal ball I would have only changed three things.

Aching and sore hands and feet
I'm now at 3.5 mg
prednisone
. I've developed carpal tunnel - took up knitting and probably surf on my phone too much! Both my feet and hands and wrists are sore and aching. Carpal tunnel explains the hands and wrists, but what about my feet?

Prednisone and the ongoing dental adventure
After my alarming experience of feeling majorly shaky during and after an orthodontist appointment a couple of weeks ago, I took an extra .5 mg pred this morning, so 2 mg instead of current 1.5, and seem to have weathered an appointment with a periodontist okay. Like last time I did some errands on

Travelling zone changes
Been on
prednisone
for five years and currently stable on 1mg
prednisone
the past two months. A recent synacthen test showed the adrenals are capable of functioning. I'm travelling solo...brave or foolish at 74 years old and wary of flaring Or even that brain foggy overwhelm.

Zytiga and Prednisone.
I'd appreciate ANY input on Zytiga/
prednisone
combo. I know we have to monitor blood pressure, watch for swelling in the legs and feet, and keep him hydrated.

BRONCHIECTASIS….PLUS Allergic to medical face mask…any non polypropylene/TPE ones available?
Hi I’m having a nightmare with my bronchiectasis, I’ve had numerous exacerbations this year, use my rescue pack and
prednisone
when needed…cant remember being well in all honesty. I had HIB in April and given Levofloxacin as Doxycycline won’t shift my HIB.

Water retention. Can it disappear, then reappear on a lower dose of Prednisone?
I found that moon face and weight improved when I reduced
Prednisone
below 10 mg/day. But now, many months later and a few days into 3.5 mg, my face is puffy again and I'm gaining a little weight (not much). I haven't changed anything in my diet.
