All my life, since first fickle finger test at 16, I have had either an enlarged prostate or a VERY large prostate. Annual PSA for well over 20 years, always good.

18 months ago, 5, which they tell me for my advanced age is "good". Urologist followup due to a kidney stone previous year 3 months after PSA normal, 33. Scans, biopsy, passed off to oncologist, 39.5.

MORE scans, abiterone, prednisone, Lupron, worked down to .3. Then started back up.

A month ago, 1.1, a week ago, 2.14, so more scans this month, results from Chicago on lab work on biopsy, figure out what to do.

In the Submarine Veteran's community, we discuss this, and the correlation to close proximity to a reactor at critical, plus (The Navy will neither confirm nor deny the presence of nuclear warheads on their vessels) walking through the torpedo room with those undefined weapons on the skids.

Far too many of us, cancers, usually prostate, and funerals.

I wish I knew what caused my Gleason 10 PC. I was hardly sick a day in my adult life. Worked 40 years in multiple manufacturing environments, lived in many places. Genomic testing said not from my inherited DNA. We are all left to wonder.

just remember that this illness is the most common cancer in men. Virtually every male will get it be age 85. Leukemia and lymphoma are much more likely to be from radiation. When things go wrong it is natural to look for something to blame it on. Why didn’t you have the prostate surgery or radiation to go for cure. Was there metastatic disease?

Yeah. Understood. Our non-scientific observations are between diesel boat folks and nuke boat folks. Plus, mesothelioma more prevalent on steam plants with asbestos lagging.

I agree with the points that you make. There are certainly worse, more deadly cancers to get than prostate cancer.
