Travelling zone changes
Been on
prednisone
for five years and currently stable on 1mg
prednisone
the past two months. A recent synacthen test showed the adrenals are capable of functioning. I'm travelling solo...brave or foolish at 74 years old and wary of flaring Or even that brain foggy overwhelm.

Zytiga and Prednisone.
I'd appreciate ANY input on Zytiga/
prednisone
combo. I know we have to monitor blood pressure, watch for swelling in the legs and feet, and keep him hydrated.

tapered too fast
We have adjusted those items and are now raising his
Prednisone
back up to 5mg. We hope that this helps. How long can PMR hang around?

RA pain & inflammation causing terrible anxiety: pacing, insomnia
These drs have no problem giving expensive, “big gun” RA meds & high dose
prednisone
- but won’t give Valium or Ativan. That’s just cruel..,,bad medicine. The psychiatrist I saw needs a psychiatrist, Any suggestion?

Ongoing BCR case. Advices are appreciated.
Episode of Ramsey Hunt syndrome (2021) with
prednisone
use caused (probably) sharp PSA rise in a month from 0.20 to 0.34 and back to 0.22. Episode of Covid made similar PSA spike. Last meeting with MO was 03/23/2023 and I have got six months until next meeting.

Relationship of PMR and Prednisone
Could the PRM disappear while still taking
prednisone
? If not, then
prednisone
(or tapering it) does, in fact, seem to cure PMR in some way. This would indicate that
Prednisone
doesn’t just mask the PMR symptoms. What am I missing?

Sharing My Good News
I thought that was some good news following the 2 previous labs over the previous 6 months and permits me to continue with my Lupron, Aberaterone and
Prednisone
treatments. I hope all of you have it will have some promising news to share soon.

GCA or not
I am at a loss what to do, don’t want to up my
prednisone
if I don’t have too. I wanted an MRI with contrast but neurologist said since I had an MRI ( without contrast) this year, insurance would not pay for it. It still feels like something is going on in my head. I know my body.

Stopped Tocilizumab, CRP rising, is it a GCA flare?
I started with
prednisone
, then Tocilizumab injections plus
prednisone
, then the injections alone for nearly 2 years. From January until April 2023 I took the injections every 28 days. The CRP remained at zero during this time.

Seasonal Allergies Meds
I called doctor today and he prescribed
Prednisone
. He claimed that is generally safe on the liver. I’m not very trusting of their medical advice. Does anybody on this forum have allergies along with the liver issues and if you do what has been prescribed?

Nausea, diarrhea and stomach pain
Prednisone
withdrawal perhaps? Do any of you experience it? And if so, how do you deal with it? If it happens again the next time I taper, should I immediately go back up on my dose? Or is it something that you just have to endure? Thank you.

Prednisone and the ongoing dental adventure
After my alarming experience of feeling majorly shaky during and after an orthodontist appointment a couple of weeks ago, I took an extra .5 mg pred this morning, so 2 mg instead of current 1.5, and seem to have weathered an appointment with a periodontist okay. Like last time I did some errands on

What amount of prednisone is equivalent to average cortisol levels?
And If you are on a very small dose of
prednisone
do your adrenals still release cortisol to maintain some sort of homeostasis in your system? Does
prednisone
withdrawal symptoms signal your body to start making more cortisol to compensate (eventually), or does it do nothing?
