OK! I'm starting to prednisone taper again...
I'm really hopeful that this may be my Swan Song on
prednisone
but if not I'm perfectly happy swallowing a few tablets a day. I should get better organized shortly, but have three therapy appointments per week.

Had some short doses of
prednisone
for sinus issues, which helped, actually felt normal. Being worked up for polyneuropathy, nerve conduction study positive for sensory neuropathy. Thanks for you thoughts.

hair loss
hi I’m a 74 year old female and I’m experiencing fairly severe hair loss I think due to
prednisone
. I’m thinking of trying hair growth products. Any recommendations?

Flare after vaccine
Yesterday I had mild shoulder pain so I added another 5mg of
prednisone
to my pill box for a week. I was taking 3.5mg so I will be taking 8.5mg for a week. My question is after the week of extra
prednisone
should I go back to 3.5mg or 3.75mg where I was controlling my PMR.

GCA with Lupus
Quickly put on
prednisone
and was on 6o mg for several weeks. Developed
prednisone
induced lower leg neuropathy and was quickly taken down to around 10-20 mg. Nothing was working until I started the Actemra shots once a week. Seemed to be going great.

What to do for the stiffness.
I have tapered to 2 mg of
Prednisone
daily. Labs are all good. The stiffness is not going away. Mornings are pretty bad, as well as during the night. If I sit still for more than 30 minutes I am so stiff I can not walk normally. Most of the stiffness is in my hips, thighs, and shoulders.

Rapid Taper
My Rheumatologist wanted me to taper in 6 days from 20mg to 0
prednisone
in order to reassess me for PMR. Even though I did have elevated CRP and ESR he is not quite sure since some of my symptoms weren’t gone.

husband with CRPC needing advice
Of course the recommendation is to start Zytiga with
prednisone
and continue with Lupron. My fear is if he stars Zytiga, quality of life will decline and side effects with increase.

GCA Update
hi wonderful, helpful people, My rheumatologist agreed yesterday to drop my
prednisone
dosage from 60 to 50 mg. I am hoping that will make a difference with my vision, which is still very poor.

How early should I take pred in the morning?
Should I take my
prednisone
earlier? To clarify, I'm down to 7.5 mg (8 and 7 on alternating days) and I want to wake up my adrenals as best as I can. Will it help this process if I take the pred at 5 am instead of waiting until 7 am?

cataracts b.c. of long-term steroids
I've been on Trimbow 172.5 for 6 months and on 2 mg
prednisone
for 2.5 years; prior to that I was on Seretide for almost 20 years. Today I noticed a lot of new "dust particles" and "fibers" floating in front of the "image" in my eyes when looking at the sky.

GCA Osteoarthritis
My neuro opthamologist is treating my GCA with
prednisone
at 5mg/day. The rheumatologist wants to treat the osteoarthritis with 30mg of
prednisone
and he also mentioned Actemra infusion. Not really sure what to do. Vision is opthamologist area but arthritis is rheumatologist specialty.

Plantar fascia tear, due to long-term prednisone use?
Following sudden and agonising heel pain on Monday morning, I've seen my physio. He says it's an unusual injury, but likely due to long-term steroids. I have a tear to my plantar fascia, where it inserts under the heel. He strapped it and suggested heel cups to lift my heel (Amazon) and only supportive
