diabetes doctors
Even though disappointing for those with thyroid issues, I had hoped, and actually was under the impression, that at least endos were good diabetes doctors. It seems that I have to rethink that as well. I have a colleague with Type 1 Diabetes who had some horror stories to tell. And he is the second

Spike in blood sugar levels
I was diagnosed with PBC in 2021. Take my Ursodiol faithfully everyday. Had bloodwork done in April. Everything was good except my ALP is high but below 200. Just had bloodwork done again and now my glucose jumped up and they are now saying I'm pre-diabetic. I have gained weight, is that what is

Atypical muscle aches?
I am in a conundrum because I am worried that even this dose of pred may be harming me (
pre
-
diabetes
despite being on keto diet, for example), but I absolutely don't want to have a flare and then be forced to go up to an even high dose.

Brewers Yeast?
Does anyone here use brewers yeast as a natural source of B vitamins? If so have you had any reactions particularly if trying gluten-free? I took it for a while once and it could have been placebo effect but I did start to feel more energetic, but stopped taking as this was around the time my immune

Is going gluten free worth it and achievable?
Hi, lots of times I see advice here to go gluten free. Be really interested to hear what people think. Is it’s really worth it and is it achievable? At the moment I’m far from gluten free. I love wholewheat pasta and sourdough. I tested negative for celiac disease but my genes were analyzed as part

Graves Disease
Hi, I have type 2 diabetes, I was over-prescribed metformin which had its horrors. When I came off it I was quickly diagnosed with thyroxicosis and hypercalcemia. Saw the endocrinologist yesterday. |He sat there and said do you know what you have wrong with you, then he told me I had Graves disease

Late onset type 1 diabetes?
Husband diagnosed with cirrhosis a couple of months ago, fibroscan reading confirmed this but no varices and no ascites. Waiting to hear back further from gastroenterologist on this. In the meantime, the metformin he had been prescribed for T2 diabetes didn't seem to be working, still had all the symptoms
