When to get tested?

Hi everyone - I am trying to figure when and what I should do before going get tested. My regimen is below. At what point should I stop my medication and go for the test? Going to test for all the recommended thyroid tests. Thank you!! This community has been a godsend to me.

6 am - 50mcg Synthroid (levo) + 10 mcg Cytomel (lio)

12pm - 10 mcg Cytomel

4pm - Vitamin D + B12 + Folate Supplements + Magnesium Citrate (400mg)

10pm - 10 mcg Cytomel + Magnesium Malate (1000mg)

For a thyroid panel, you don't stop your meds, you adjust time the day before.

If testing at 9am, on the day before the test move your 6am meds to 9am to give the advised 24 hours between last dose of levothyroxine and test. Move your 10pm Cytomel to any time between 9pm and 1am to give the advised 8-12 hour gap between last dose of T3 and blood test.

You can add an extra 2 hours to your 12 noon and 4pm meds/supplements if you wish.

If your test is at a different time then just work out the correct time gaps.

You shouldn't be taking magnesium with your last dose of Cytomel. Magnesium should be taken 4 hours away from thyroid meds, T3 is said to be not so fussy as Levo but you should still leave a gap otherwise absorption may be affected.
