Antihistamines for anxity
I know somebody who was prescribed antihistamines who told me that they helped him feel less anxious. I’m wondering if an OTC antihistamine (like Benadryl) would help me.

Pets and copd
I have justed rescued this little boy, he's completely adorable I love him to bits, he's a rag doll, will he be OK with my COPD he's a rag doll and follows me everywhere. I ask because I felt a bit itch under my nose and so I too an antihistamine.

Antibiotic Lymecycline and side effects
So my doc has given me lymecycline for suspected rosacea, he hasn't done any skin tests to confirm, just looked and did some bloods, said they're all fine. It's a months prescription, I'm two weeks in, first week went okay, second week I think there's improvements to the tiny pimples that come up but

Allergy to the sun
I have been diagnosed with solar urticaria and have tried all sunscreena, all combinations of antihistamines and Xolair injections, (which worked for a short time then quit working.) Has anyone tried PUVA (photosensitivity treatments) or low dose naltrexone? All I can do is wear many layers of clothes

Physical illness with treatment resistant depression
HI, can I transcribe a loooong rant I posted on "thyroid"? I have not been allowed to call myself depressed or physically ill, as I live in Jersey Channel islands, & the GP's (all private) here have buried me alive along with my medical records. I have never received treatment other than AD's which don't

Changing/alternating antihistamines
Hi! So I currently take Benadryl acrivastine antihistamines for my hay fever as I suffer really bad from it, as well as Avamys nasal spray and Clenil Modulite inhaler... I suffered horrendously last year and keen to avoid going the same way this year! My hay fever started up a few weeks ago, although

Major Anxiety Crash - Looking for Answers as I restart Sertraline with Some Major Side Effects
Hi all, I'm new here. I first had a panic attack after losing my job 6 years back when I was newly married. I was put on 25mg sertraline and never looked back. Had minimal side effects and managed to go through having several kids, buying a house, and thriving at a fast-paced job. I went off the sertraline

Mothers, who'd have them!
My mum won't take painkiller ,antihistamine, cough medicine, antacid or any over the counter treatment when ill , the most she will take is a mint if she has discomfort. When she was bringing us up she never wanted to make a fuss about herself and dedicated her life to us and caring for Dad, until he

Ocrevus — dose 1
So had my first dose today , went well no issue little tired but they said it could be the antihistamine ( or the fact I had no sleep last night worrying) .. but now I’m wide awake and just remembered they gave me a dose of steroids in beginning and that gives me insomnia .. just got back in to sleeping

Amber zone treatment
Hi all I am a brittle and severe asthmatic with a history of circa 10-14 admissions a year and multiple ICU admissions under my belt. Luckily, I’m relatively well between these flairs and am able to work. My local hospital is great and the consultants and respiratory ward nurses and drs. work hard

The four year cough!!!
Hi peeps, I am 50 yo, 4.5 years post op and still coughing. I rarely get GERD or reflux at night but I'm sure most of you are familiar with this, when the acid in your stomach enters the trachea while you're asleep. There is some confusion as to whether this is reflux or GERD but either way it's horrendous

Itchy red patches on face, help!
Hi, so I get itchy red rashes on my face occasionally - usually forehead and cheeks - cheek bone below eyes is the worst. They start like a tingling, then come up red like an allergic reaction whether I leave them alone or touch them (trying not to itch), it doesn't matter which. While it's red they

Hives, Alpha-Gal, Dry Eyes
Hi. I’m new here. Looking for help with chronic hives. I had a complete hysterectomy in August, after which I developed the hives. I have been diagnosed with Alpha-Gal, which is a beef and pork nitolerance. It is possibly from a Lone Star Tick bite. I dont’ remember the tick, but 80% of the time that

New asthma nurse
Yesterday I had my asthma review at my doctors surgery. I was really happy to find out that it was a trained asthma nurse. I have had practice nurses before this in the last couple of years. I had a really good one two years ago but she left. So she asked how I have been, did my height and weight, checked

LPR / SILENT REFLUX worries
Hi, my LPR started a month ago. It began with my throat closing up / contracting / spasming at night. I was unable to sleep at all because i simply couldn't breathe. A few days later i got the more classic signs of LPR, a sore throat, burning tongue, lump in the throat, mucus. I went to the GP and he
