As many of you may know I have since November suffered a terrible rash ,which has led to months of appointments at doctors and hospital plus anti and steroids both on skin and orally. Just had my appointment at the hospital where the dermatologist explained that I have vasculitis from covid. And in my case from the vaccine. I asked are you sure as I had googled other possibilities ,but he went on since 2020 he and his colleagues have seen rashes they have never explained before and covid is new and although most rashes come from covid itself you can get it from the vaccine as in my case . He went on you are healthy I have been having scans and bloods your skin is good and at present my rash is not active just a few blemishes and spots . They have kept me as a outpatient and gave me prescription for strong antihistamines to use as and when flare ups occur and to call for a appointment as well .I feel both happy and lost as there are still so many questions I feel unanswered he ruled out sjorgen, lupus etc and said look you are in good health. But still I'm having to live with this condition which although improving is still there. And of course I got this from my last 6th vaccine not the previous 5 so wierd .but I thought I would update you all back there again in two weeks for my cll consultant who has been working with dermatology on this .

Covid rash from vaccine
Oh my word, you must certainly be doing ‘cartwheels’. Which vaccine did you have last time. I do hope it settles eventually.Did you ever have Covid itself? All the best
I am sorry about your rashes Cartwheels. As rashes have many causes, most often unexplained, it’s probably more correct to say your doctor suspects the vaccine as a a cause than it being the cause. Did you have any history of rashes before recently?
I have had some rash issues now and then after starting ibrutinib years ago. My dermatologist biopsied it and we tried a few therapies. He originally thought it might be shingles but then thought maybe related to my meds. Even with a biopsy, he told me it’s near impossible to find out the cause of many rashes. Correlation doesn’t equal causation, meaning just because a rash might appear close in time after a vaccine doesn’t prove the vaccine caused it. It can certainly make the vaccine suspicious as a cause, particularly if you have no history of skin problems.
I don’t doubt it’s possible to get a rash from an allergic reaction to a vaccine. Due to out weakened immune systems, however, to my understanding we can have spontaneous rashes appear for no apparent reason, even from an insect bite.
I hope your rash improves. Mine persisted for a year or more and why it got suddenly better remains as much a mystery to me and my doctor as to why it first appeared.
my son & law got a bad rash with his first Pfizer shot, it comes and goes, he has had to take pregnisone on 2 seperate occasions, this is not rare.
