Covid Jab - ending my previous comment on a posting a few weeks back, I promised I’d let the forum know how my jab went…….
Firstly, let me state that a one off result is not significantly relevant and so please don’t draw any definitive conclusions from my personal experience. To compound the above, my circumstances are not straight forward and there are lots of variables that could impact instances of me either having

Do I increase Pred to cover me for Covid jab?
I'm very anxious about having a Covid booster as I believe the vaccines precipitated my PMR early last year. I was advised (by consultant) not to have the 2002 autumn booster as I had some immunity from catching Covid itself but he has said to have the booster this year as it is now 15 months since my

Slow burn flare, following latest Covid vaccine.
It started with extreme fatigue - unable to keep my eyes open. Now I am finding it hard to walk and have significant back, knee, neck and head pain. A complete eye Heath check where nothing of concern was found yesterday required 2 hours sleep to recover. I am doubling my 5 mgs dose to do sick day rules

Covid Jab.
I've had my covid jab on 12/10/23.I'm alive ( yaaaaaay) , however like the previous jabs this one too has slowed me down too & it takes 48hrs for me to get back to normal & it's no different from having the flu jab. To me it's worth my life & I can now focus on getting over the hurdle of me getting reacquainted

Flu vaccine post covid
Hope everyone is well. I got covid early last month(September), how long should one wait before getting the flu vaccine. I have read/ been told, once you’re feeling better your can have your flu jab. It’s been a month for me since having covid, and feel it should be fine to get the flu jab now.

Covid booster..good news story
We are all different, and respond differently to meds, vaccines, etc. I thought I'd post to say I had both my Covid booster (my 7th covid jab to date) and my flu jab on Sat. I had a slightly sore arm, and that was it. The least reaction I've had to date. BTW I was Pfizered, like in the spring. I

Covid Jabs
Does being hypothyroid and asthmatic qualify anyone aged 60 for a Covid jab this winter, does anyone know? Receptionist at my surgery has just told me not. Although they want me to have a flu jab! I can't figure that out at all... And what do you guys think about having one anyway? I've had three

PMR for 10 years
I was diagnosed with PMR in Oct 2013. Instant pain relief from pred… and the journey began. I have tapered down to 2 mg numerous times, but always end up back at 5-7.5 mg. To be honest, I don’t have serious issues with that dose of Pred, My weight is managed (although hard to lose), I don’t have

worsening af
Thanks all for your replies. My af stopped before bed last night, having lasted on and off for 24 hours and having felt worse and more eratic than before. The booster was Pfizer. I shall report on yellow card, thanks. I am now thinking of cancelling the flu jab and won't ever have another covid booster

For anyone who has children, or close contact, and is on immunosuppressants, have you been around children who have had the live flu vaccine and been ok? Shingles vaccine?
I unknowingly (until after) had shingles in March 2023 which I believe, triggered first episode of Afib. Now thinking about having the vaccine, concerned that it will trigger Afib. What are people's experiences of having the vaccine? Do I need it yet. Maybe still have antibodies in my system? Will

Not what I expected!
After feeling unwell, I’ve had a lousy night, tested in the early hours and have Covid! Had the booster 12 days ago and the flu jab on Saturday. it’s Sod’s Law , I was going to say a flare and low adrenal function feels like Covid with Mumps . Hopefully i can get antivirals , they wouldn’t give them
