Appointment Update
Hello. Following my recent post about my dry eyes, I had my follow-up appointment on Monday nearly 4 months post right trabeculectomy & it did not go well. Had a visual field test and eye scan. No change to my right eye but my left eye continues to lose peripheral vision. The pressure was elevated even

Live vaccine for dengue fever
My son lives in Bali. He is in the middle of a very severe bout of dengue fever. I am going to visit him for 3 weeks in July. He has suggested I should have a vaccine before I go. I can find that it is called a " live attenuated dengue tetravalent vaccine". Even the vaccine side effects can be pretty

'Flu and covid jabs at same time !
I'm 83 and have had RA since I was 48 . I normally book my 'flu and covid jabs separately. This year I've "bitten the bullet" and booked them at the same time ( different arms ) at the end of October. I've always felt quite "meh" after the covid jab and last year I felt similarly after the 'flu jab

Haemophilus influenzae
Has anyone been able to get immunised against haemophilus influenzae? I've just had a bad infection which has been hard to shake off and I don't want it again. I know there is a vaccine available for adults but my hospital seems never to have heard of it.

Hi all I have bronchiectasis (since 2012) and have been super careful during the pandemic. Doxycycline long term use
Hi, I’m 11 months into my 15 month treatment for CLL. I’m on Ibrutinib with Venetoclax and it’s suited me well, and I’m really pleased that my bloods now appear to be normal. I’m also on Co-Trimoxazole antibiotic and Aciclovir antiviral to deal with any infections should they arise during my treatment

Scared and lost
Hello, I am not too sure where to start, so much has happened. I am a 50 year-old female. A couple of years ago, I had a pain in my abdomen on the right side and my stools became orange. The GP sent me for an ultrasound where they saw I had polyps on my gallbladder. The GP phoned me on the 31st Dec to

I was wondering if having the Flu shot or Pneumonia shot causes AFib episodes like COVID did.

To accept flu and covid jabs invite?
Always had all my flu and covid jabs with no issue. Actually had both the same day in September 23 whilst suffering with PMR but not diagnosed or medicated. Had my first shingles vaccination March this year after being on prednisolone for 2 months (on 10mg I think ) I had read so many posts about PMR

Almost four weeks have elapsed since being hospitalised with Covid and pneumonia and a CT scan revealed I have IPF. In which order they occurred is difficult to determine, but I’d had a persistent dry cough for about 16W before Covid and pneumonia. The thing is I’m two and a half weeks at home after

Covid and extending NHS funded time
I am due to start long protocol in exactly a week, with a prostrap injection. My husband has tested positive for Covid today and although I am testing negative I think I’m bound to get it. Our clinic will delay by 7-10 weeks depending if we both test positive for Covid. I’m devastated as we are only

Covid Booster Eligibility
I am 65 with compensated cirrhosis. I have portal hypertension and grade 1/2 oesophagal varices with bloods mostly in range. I do have anaemia and low platelets but thankfully no ascites or HE (fingers crossed). Following a post on here a few days ago about cirrhosis and eligibility for a spring Covid

Tetanus
Not too far back there was a discussion about having a Tetanus shot, might help PD. I tried a search and came up with only one 2 year old post. No very Techy. Can someone help me find the link to that discussion? Thank you

Covid booster UK
Does anyone know if we can get spring boosters for Covid? I got the autumn one because of epilepsy, but it looks as though neurological conditions aren’t on the spring list.

Does asthma severity tend to reflect that of sinuses?
I wasn’t sure where to post this but please tell me if it’s out of place as I’l move it. Basically I’ve had chronic sinusitis with polyps for over a decade. It is more chronic inflammation that’s the issue, with meds the polyps are only small/secondary to the inflammation. I don’t have asthma but
