Hand Corrective Surgery
Hey..So after a year on RTX my CRP is at 3 🙌🏼 better that 162. I'm now seeing an Ortho surgeon to correct my hands, has anyone here had it done? How were your results, are you pleased with the outcome? I've wanted this done for years and it's finally happening, just a bit nervous and wanted to know

grieving my old life
Hi so today has been a hard morning already. And I just wanna speak to someone who is going through the same sort of situation as me? So I had surgery last April to remove a 9cm endo cyst from my left ovary. Then I was put on the mini pill as the gyni said this would stop the endo from growing. Fast

Ivor Lewis procedure and complications
I had the Ivor Lewis Procedure done on the 8th June, apparently had a leak and had to return back into theatre. However another scan after showed that the hole was in a different place. The surgeon told me that antibiotics and time should support this and it would heal. However, my SATS went down a

Today marks the first anniversary of my triple heart bypass. So grateful for the treatment I received and the support I have received from family and friends. My body has recovered really well and apart from a little discomfort when coughing or sneezing looking forward to the future. Feeling emotional

My GP to do annual AF tests to detect asymptomatic patients
I've just had a letter from my local surgery saying following my suggestion they will now take the pulse of people who attend for annual exams (blood pressure, diabetes etc) to see if they are asymptomatic AF sufferers. A positive result to then be referred for ECG etc. A small victory.

Background I was diagnosed with PMR in June 2024. Fortunate in having very supportive GP who quickly started me on 15 mg Predisolone which brought about dramatic improvement. Dose has been reduced to 14 mg after 1 month. GP plan is to reduce by about 1mg a month, depending on monthly blood test results

Surgery recovery whilst having a physical job
Hi all, I was after some advice regarding surgery recovery. Obviously we all recover differently from surgery, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice who has a physical job. I'm a gardener and I work on an estate, so I do have a HR department etc. just a lot of the advice says you can go back to

Abnormal ECG
So the arrhythmia team contacted me yesterday to discuss the result of my ECG done at my local surgery . Apparently although the test showed an an abnormal pattern with wide QRS it was a minimal deviation and not any form of AF . It could be an age related change but my sinus rhythm was normal and the

I had a Prostatectomy in July 2020. My PSA was a 5.0 and my Gleason was 3+4. Cancer did not penetrate outer wall of gland. Decipher score was 64. Did Kegels and PT for incontinence....nothing helped and today still very much incontinent. In May 2022 my PSA began to steadily rise from undetectable for
