well guys , my doctor okayed surgery for me 2 months ago, had a left hip given me fits. At the same time he scheduled a PET scan for me ,I’ve had numerous CT and MRI. Well surgery was a suprise for me, the right hip ,the femur was eaten all up by the cancer, the left was worn out . They wouldn’t do the left if they couldn’t stabilize the right with pins, So I went in and had a partial on the left and pins in the right. Wow now that was an experience, so GOOD NEWS fixed both hips, No active cancer in the right ( cancer was dead ) and the pet scan showed no new hot cancers . It’s been 30 days since the surgery and the physical therapist has cut me loose😊 Still sore and using a walker but feeling better every day. When this war started I never thought about anything but just Dying . Just goes to show you you have to keep taking care of the rest of the body 😂😂😂 Fight this WAR guys 🙏🙏🙏 Good luck warriors 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Wow! a real battle in the war, congrats on the good fight. Best of luck with those hips, and if you're like me, you'll treasure those PT people, they're worth their weight in gold.
No I didn’t do anything ,actually I was scared to death that the cancer was alive and I’d have to do chemo or radiation . All I have done was the chemo in 2016 and the Xtandi ever since. The cancer started in my right hip in the beginning. Just thankful to the big guy on this one 🙏🙏🙏
Keep posting Larry! Your story is similar to mine. I had my PSA tested yearly and it was always under 1.5. However, in April of 22, I noticed blood in my urine. My urologist performed a DRE and told me it was prostatitis and prescribed Flowmax and antibiotics. Every week my symptoms got worse until he finally ordered an MRI in July. Diagnosis: Oligometastatic prostate cancer in two pelvic lymph nodes and one area of S1.
My original MO said I had about 3 years, so I started triplet therapy. My scans have been clear and my PSA has been below 0.014 since November of 22. Your posts keep me positive and ready to fight on.
I have a fake hip on the right side. I need one on the left soon but the cancer is in the socket. My orthopedic surgeon said he didn’t want to do it because my hip socket may shatter when the fake socket is hammered in. Then he would have to cut off my hip ball and it’s wheelchair time. I spoke to an acquaintance who is a urologist and he said because I am on prolia I should be ok. When my hip gets bad it’s something to think about.
