Metformin - 4th transfer
Hi all, I'm back ahead of my 4th transfer. 2 unsuccessful, 1 ending in MMC after 9 weeks (Heartbeat seen, all going well, other than bleeding). I have also had one previous natural miscarriage. I have been found to have insulin resistance following a blood test and have been prescribed Metformin.

Neuroprotective effect of rapamycin against Parkinson's disease in mice - 2018 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30693687/
Conclusions: Rapamycin inhibits the activation of mTOR pathway, which contributes to protect against the loss of dopaminergic neurons and provide behavioral improvements in mice with Parkinson's disease. These results are partially related to the ability of rapamycin in inducing autophagy and reducing

To take metformin or not?
Hi all 👋🏻 Think I’m having a last minute wobble but wanting to get some other opinions. I have PCOS and in the past have had 60+ day cycles. I pushed the clinic to give me metformin which (no surprise) made me feel crap so when I got covid in august I stopped taking it after only 3 weeks and never

New here but not new to Prostate cancer. I'm writing for my dad that was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in October 2010 via digital exam when PSA was only 2.8. Had robotic surgery Feb. 2011 - post Gleason Score 7 (4+3) minor component pattern 5, margins clean and no Seminal Vesicle involvement

Metformin
I am on the maximum dose of Metformin. I find the laxative, breathing and shivering side-effects to be debilitating. My diabetes nurse is unwilling to change to an alternative so I have booked to see my GP. She said I wasn't drinking enough water but I am drinking 3 pints a day. I am just flushing it

New member looking for advice
EDIT 2: Found New blood test where TSH is now up to 5.63 (only 3 months distance from previous test which showed 4.5!) FT4 was 16 however which is within range. But also showed MCH, MCHC and MCV borderline which could be related to iron deficient anaemia apparently. Test pic below. EDIT: oh wow! This

Class 2 Medicines Recall: Rosemont Pharmaceuticals Limited, Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg/5ml Oral Solution, PL 00427/0139, EL (21)A/20
I get regular alerts for medicine recalls. Most are obscure products used only in hospital or highly specialist areas. However, when I see one that might be of more general applicability, that members might really be taking, I will post. [i]

Buprenorphine/ Subutex,, Temgesic,CBD, THC , Traumeel injections
I can’t not emphasis this enough Anyone starting Buprenorphine / Subutex Or the micro dose version Temgesic. You will not get this advice from your doctors but I urge you to start in this manor. Buy a pill cutter and nightly cut you sublingual tablet into about 8 /10 tiny little crumbs. These medications

A breakthrough-like effect of metformin reduces peripheral resistance to triiodothyronine in euthyroid, non-insulin-resistant, T2 diabetes
My main aim here is to identify to anyone interested that metformin appears to have an impact of T3 levels. Whether the hypotheses of the paper make any sense of that observation is, I fear, rather more questionable. (Though I accept is was very much acknowledged to be a pilot study.) [i]

Pioglitazone and who it might benefit.....
I’m reading posts by members who have been prescribed this drug for reduction of liver fat. Does anyone else have a positive or negative result with this drug? Are hepatologists in favor of using it? Any thoughts or experiences are welcome. Sincerely, Troutwhisperer
