I get regular alerts for medicine recalls. Most are obscure products used only in hospital or highly specialist areas. However, when I see one that might be of more general applicability, that members might really be taking, I will post.
Class 2 Medicines Recall: Rosemont Pharmaceuticals Limited, Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg/5ml Oral Solution, PL 00427/0139, EL (21)A/20
Rosemont Pharmaceuticals Limited is recalling a specific batch of Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg/5ml Oral Solution due to identification of an impurity above the acceptable limit.
Thanks, helvella - I've twice been dx T2D and seen it off both times - it's not so simple but fairly, in comparison - we must all choose that which we feel is preferable for us. 💚🦋😎
Thank you for posting this helvella . My son is on this medication and for the past 4 weeks I have been chasing around to try and get it. In the end our surgery put it up on The Spine, whereby any Pharmacy can pick up the prescription if they have it in stock. I managed to get enough to last until another week, and then will have to chase around again. In the meantime, I have been told that I can crush a normal tablet (not slow release) to make ease of taking. Will try again now to get enough for another month.
