Hi everyone New here. I’ve had fibromyalgia for at least 8/9 years. I’ve just recently been referred to rheumatology and the want to do test for spondylitis. From what I’ve read on the nhs website it’s quite scary! Can’t talk to my partner just in case it turns out not to be spondylitis. Saves the both

Colomycin
I have put in colomycin inhalant with nebuliser. But been on for two weeks now and feel so much worse. Been taken off of it my breathing is no where near as bad as it was. Within a day or so. Not sure what they will do now also on steroids. Had pseudomonas infections on and off since last October. Always

Referral update
Today I got a phone call from the hospital asthma nurse, after being referred back to them by my GP asthma nurse. Was a mixed call... Firstly, she said she was ringing because clinic are not taking referrals at the moment. I thought great!!!! 😡 I’m like ‘what’s the point of writing to my GP to say re-refer

Covid symptoms
6 years ago I had sepsis pneumonia multi organ failure etc. I was in an induced coma for 15 days and in hospital over 6 weeks. Ever since I have had most of the symptoms covid patients are talking about now. Shortage of breath extreme fatigue ptsd etc. I wonder if covid patients will suffer as long

After effects of pneumonia
Hello, sorry this is a bit of a moan / question post! My dad is currently in hospital. He choked on some food at his nursing home which lead him to stop breathing & then having to be resuscitated after a suspected cardiac arrest (a week and a half ago) He was given strong antibiotics after the incident

help needed with a deep hacking phlegmy cough.
I have had this deep hacking cough for 18 months. In all seasons, indoors and outdoors. Often I will bring up thick phlegm. It sounds like a smokers cough and I do not smoke and live in a smoke-free environment. I also wheeze. I have Asthma so my RT increased my Fluticasone puffer to 2 puffs 2 x

Cold showers - good or bad?
Before I was diagnosed I'd have a hot shower then turn the shower to cold for 2 mins. The theory was it might boost my immune system. With CLL tho I figure the immune system is in overdrive anyway so I don't do it. Does anyone know if this makes sense or otherwise? Thanks

Medicine/Supplement Regime (Mucuna etc)
I just thought I'd share my dad's current medicine regime in case it will help other people. After so many months of trial and error, we have finally found a dose that works for my dad. He takes it every 2 hours and 45 minutes with little freezing, has less dyskinesias, not much pain, a better appetite

Telling Dr about coughs, colds etc whilst on Sulfasalazine ?
I am about to start Sulfasalazine tomorrow (not that I've been counting down to it or anything 😄) and I watched a video on the NRAS website about it and they mentioned that if i get a cold, sore throat etc I should tell my Dr. Well I get them all the time , I don't think my Dr would be too impressed

Please could someone give advice on blood results
Dear all, I hope you are well. Can anyone give advice on my blood results below. One is from Feb and the other end of May. Been in 50mcg of Teva levothyroxine since January. Private doctor has advised to go up to 75mcg last week. Since then I feel worse. Hot, headaches, insomnia, extremely hoarse voice

Flu jabs
I'm trying to find out about the interactions between those who are immuno-suppressed and recipients of of live flu jabs. Is there a time limit on contact? I'm planning to get one - though I haven't in previous years - and my grandson, going into Year 7 will presumably get one at school. I've seen
