Stop Abatacept for 2 weeks to have booster & flu jab??
Dear all 🙂 I only just had my first Abatacept injection 4 days ago and have just had the last of a course of steroids, so the immune system is low already (think I have a sinus infection 🙄). Anyhoo…. My question is.. has anyone else stopped their weekly biologic injections to give the vaccines a chance

Strange bruising after Pfizer and flu jab yesterday?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced any strange bruising after having the Pfizer booster and flu jab, which I had yesterday. I’ve not banged it and it’s not sore or tender. The Pfzier was in my left arm and flu in my right - bruise on my right hand/wrist.

Running in the cold
Hi, I haven't been out running since the weather has started getting colder. Just wondering what people wear when running out in the cold. Worried i'll be too cold wearing shorts.

Firstly why do my legs feel like jelly, (now on 11mg) and secondly what is the threshold for referral to a rheumatologist?
I was first diagnosed with PMR at the start of lockdown and the euphoria triggered by pred was amazing but since then 3 attempts to get below 7mg haven’t succeeded. I walk my dog daily for about 1 hour so I don’t understand why my legs feel so weak. I am in a constant battle with tiredness but I don’

Post Flu Vaccine concerns
Had the flu Vax last week followed by an extreme sore throat 24hours later and slight tightness in throat which went on to produce phlegm. Thought I was getting better then the cough started .. I'm now 11 days in and still using my inhaler to relieve tightness ..I am usually a well functioning asthmatic

Which flu jab is safe?
Good morning All, I'm scheduled for my Flu Jab this morning. Does it matter which one I receive? The live one or deactivated one. Thank you.

First cold since being immunosuppressed
Well. I wasn’t expecting this. I don’t even think this is the flu (and it’s not covid). Just a common cold and I can’t get out of bed. Any fast acting remedies? Xx

UPDATE ON SHOULD I HAVE THE FLU JAB
Hi Everyone Well I was still undecided on whether to have the flu jab today and in the end decided I'd go, tell them how ill I'd been and the medication I was on and see what they said and if I wasn't happy with the response I wouldn't have it done. Explained to the nurse when I got there who said to

FAQ........COLD WEATHER AND WINTER RUNNING
Photo by Isaac Wendland on Unsplash We have runners from all around the world on this forum, so one runner’s hot weather is another’s cold…….and vice versa. Therefore cold is a relative matter, but if you are beginning to feel the cooler air, the following may help you prepare. Whatever you

Flu or other illnesses
Hi everyone! Maybe a daft question....does anyone find if they get poorly with something else, like flu, that it makes their endo flare up or their symptoms worse when it does? After a couple of months of much reduced pain (my lap and merina insertion was in June) I've had the worst flare up yet this

Slight cold and ablation
Good morning everyone, quick question, I’ve got my ablation tomorrow and my nose is a bit stuffed up , I don’t feel unwell , have not got a cough , slight headache but I know this is where my nose is blocked , is it safe to go ahead with the ablation. Just need reassurance that it is safe just in case

Is it worth doing 'internal stretch' or muscle exercises?
Hi - a strange question perhaps. When diagnosed with Limited Systemic Scleroderma a year ago, I was sent info sheets with hand stretching/ flexing exercises and the need to do them often was reinforced in verbal advice. I am now aware I am finding it hard to swallow some things more often so I wondered

Flu Vaccination
Hi, I work in a GP surgery and we are running Saturday clinics for flu vaccinations. If any one who arrives has a cough or cold or feeling unwell, we ask them to re-book for when they are feeling better. I too have been unwell with this horrid cough and chest infection but I am on the mend now. I will

Flu jab should I go?
Hya, I've got my flu jab on Wednesday but had a really bad cold, it's eased slightly but I've practically lost my voice from coughing so much, I did a lateral flow test last night which was negative so assume its not covid. I've also got a slightly sore throat from coughing & trying to speak, I've also

Flu and covid booster
Morning everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has had their flu and covid booster together, or at least on the same day? My hubby and myself have got ours this Thursday at different times and our GPs receptionist reckons it should be ok but I’m not sure. Any advice?
