I have been partially diagnosed with chronic bronchitis or asthma (which is looking more like asthma now due to many symptoms) since: 05/05/2020 during the first UK Lockdown and for three days now I have been feeling slow therefore taking me twice as long to do anything!, not being able to concentrate on my day to day life and I have also completely lost my motivation which is making me feel angry towards myself and I do not know why this is happening to me?!
Because my chronic bronchitis or asthma triggers do not seem to be triggering me that much for at least: 1 month now due to not only the pollen being kept at bay, because of the horrible winter weather we have been getting as well as keeping nice and warm indoors as I have only just recently found out this year that the cold weather outside also triggers my chronic bronchitis or asthma but I have been doing twinkly29’s suggested breathing exercises, to limit my coughing attacks; so do you all think that I should notify my doctor about this in hope that they can find a solution for me or should I not waste my doctor’s time??
Take care,
All the very best,

It could well be you have a slight bug that is why you are feeling under the weather? I have been feeling out of sorts for the past couple of weeks and recently started taking vitamin C with zinc tablets. I usually take these when I have a cold and find them quite helpful. I don’t know if coincidence but I do feel a bit brighter…. These days I also take vitamin D throughout the year. On the grounds in UK we rarely get enough sunlight to make our own.Are you getting any exercise? This can be difficult this time of year but can be helpful if you can take a walk in the fresh air.
Maybe try some of what I have suggested and if no improvement or you start to feel worse then speak to your gp.
It's certainly not a waste of your GP's time to tell them that you're struggling with feeling this way. It would be good if they ran some bloods to see if you have any deficiencies that could be affecting concentration and motivation. It would also be great to see if they had any other ideas they could suggest. As Bevvy has said, making sure you're getting enough movement and daylight can really help (as long as you're wrapped up warm enough not to trigger things, as you say). It can be hard to do all the usual healthy lifestyle tips (nutritious diet, enough water, sleep, etc.) when motivation is low but maybe trying to start small could help.
Definitely talk to your GP about these new symptoms. They may be related to your asthma/bronchitis, but equally they may not. Hopefully they will run some blood tests to rule out deficiencies etc. Your GP should be your first port of call to rule out anything from anaemia to thyroid disease or even side effects from your medications - have you started any new meds?
Now I'm in my 60s I take greater care over my diet and avoid sugar, refined carbs and processed foods as they drag me down in all sorts of ways. But I always keep vitC/zinc lozenges on hand for potential viruses, I take fish oil capsules every day together with a VitD3 protocol (VitD3, magnesium citrate and VitKmk7 - mag & vitK helps with optimum absorption of VitD3 and prevents calcification).
Getting out every day for a walk is also highly recommended, unless the weather is rubbish.
