Canadian Research on T4/T3?
A while ago a member posted a link to some Canadian Research on T4/T3. At the time it didn’t mean much to me although I found it very interesting. I would really like to reread the article but cannot for the life of me work out how to find it again. If there’s someone who recognises what I’m referring

Hi, I'm currently being investigated for Crohn's. I've had bowel issues for over 20 years and always been told it's IBS. Anyway three years ago, I had my gallbladder removed and my symptoms went in to overload mode. My calprotectin levels were in the hundreds. Since then I've had three colonoscopies

Hashimotos and Hyperlipidemia
I was just reading a post on the forum from a person who is a poor converter of T3 to T4. Does anyone have any knowledge whether this would apply to someone having been diagnosed by a specialist hospital clinical biochemist with Hyperlipidemia?

How long to adjust to lower T3 dosage?
Further to my last post I am just wondering how long it takes for the body to adjust to a lower T3 dosage? I've been on 6.25mcg down from 12.5mcg for 7 days now and am struggling a bit with tiredness washing over me in the afternoons and needing to lie down after walks. I'm going on holiday on Tuesday

Does this sound like RLS?
hi, my symptoms are not classic RLS but there does appear to have some overlap. I first started getting up during the night to go to the bathroom around 2013 (I was 42 years old at the time). This progresively got worse over the next 10 years to the point where on some nights I was getting up every 30

Lactoferrin. Has anyone used it?
Dear Forum Members. I’m reading about Lactoferrin as a supplement to improve ferritin levels. So far, I’ve read that there are two types. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience of using this supplement or knows anything about it? Many thanks.

Need help understanding results/what to do next
Hi, I'm very new to this and my GP has been absolutely useless so everything I've learnt so far has been from my own research. I could really use some advice/next steps as I'm having a pretty rubbish time at the moment. I found out last week at 8 weeks pregnant that I have thyroid issues. I've never

Tying up loose ends after failed treatment-any tips?
Hi everyone, thank you so much for all your support on my post earlier this week. It helped so much. Today is my OTD and the clinic didn't ring me until 4pm to check the outcome of my pregnancy test (way to make me feel supported, clinic!). Anyway, the nurse asked if I wanted a follow-up consultation

Due to stroke 18 April (clot) my mental cognition/compression is faulty!! Would appreciate some help/feedback re:thyroid test results.
Hi all, it's difficult finding the words in my muddled brain post stroke to write this post so please bear with me if I get mixed up with words. Prior to stroke my levo dose was 75/50 alternate days with addition of 30mcg of EFRA daily. When I was hospitalised with stroke I did not manage to take EFRA

Update
Hi everyone just to update on my T3, I had to come off it, it was definitely not agreeing with me. I went on it first back in Dec. 23 and started by quarter of pill after a few weeks half but I started to get very distressing breathlessness and I have Asthma so I knew this was a very different breathlessness

High prolactin.
Has anyone got experience of High prolactin? I've have 3 rounds of icsi here in the UK and never been tested for this but the clinc abroad had me tested for this and mine is well over the normal range. I've done some reading on it and it can leased to infertility issues and miscarriage. Both of which

Drs appt today
I saw my primary Dr today. She says she thinks that 50 mcg of Levo is all I need but added 5 mcg Cytomel. I explained my continued symptoms and she said definitely no more Levo. She will order labs and I go back in 2 months. I asked about ferritin but not sure what she is ordering. She sends the lab

Every thyroid symptom and no result?
Hi I have been struggling with every thyroid symptom in the book - especially extreme cold hands and feet and a terrible metabolism. I was on a very small amount of T3 for some years and recently came off due to the Unipharma brand not being produced any more and that even on the T3 I still have all

T3 Dose
I've just received my T3 prescription and nervous to start after reading through posts on side effects! I'm on 125mg levo, no thyroid for 13 years and poor converter. My endo put me on 10mg twice a day, but having received good advice on here, I understand that I need to start on a much lower dose. My

Ferritin
I thought I’d share these results as it’s so interesting seeing the effect of supplementation. My ferritin has gone from 38 to 92.3 but now my iron is over range (and saturation). It looks as if I need to back off the Three Arrows Iron repair - I was using one capsule 4 times a week. This pic is the

reducing T3 and increasing T4 as advised
I posted by bloods a while back and was advised to reduce my T3slightly and increase my T4 slightly. I dot like having to cut my T3 into quaters. Can I take 50mcg one day and 37.5 the next day. I am taking 75mcg levo one day and 100 the next so could take the higher dose of t4 on the day I have less

Teva T4 Thyroxine
I’m now taking 10 mcg T3 (Viatris) twice daily with 75mcg T4 in the morning. I’m allergic to lactose so my options are limited. I’ve been on current dose for 5 weeks now and feel much better following dose increase. I have noticed a slightly raised resting heart beat 82/3 rather than 75/6) but realise
