New to the group - looking for some realistic advice on recovery time after loading doses
Hi all. I am new to the group and this delightful condition we all have! Similar story to many, blood tests showing low B12/folate/ferritin (although this hasn't been mentioned at all by my GP). Had 6 x loading doses followed by 5mg folic acid that I'm on for three months. I was told last week that since

PMR/Prednisolone and dental implants
Hi, I’m enquiring as to whether anyone else has experienced issues with their dental implants since being diagnosed with PMR and taking Prednisolone. Ferritin dropping, FT3 is not great
Hello wise ones. I'm coming up to a year since a diagnosis of Hashimotos, and on Levothyroxine. I've been trying to get the dosage increased in tiny increments of 12.5 ug after each blood test. So far I've been successful but it feels like slow progress. I'm currently taking 87.5 ug daily. My doctor

T3 12.5mg feeling great but....
Hi, I have started to augment my 100mg levothyroxine with 12.5mg of t3. I have to say my energy has improved and most thyroid symptoms are now gone. Going to retest shortly which may help the answer to my question... In the meantime... I have a new symptom in that this month I have experienced a very

Hello
Hi there This is my first post so wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 6 years ago, and struggled with accepting there was an issue and then with the wealth of conflicting opinions. I couldn’t get why if it is such a common thing why it’s not taken more seriously

Baffling results on T4&T3!
Morning all, I’m awake early feeling like total rubbish so thought I’d jump on and share in the hope that someone can shed light on my baffling blood test results which came through on Friday! I’ve been on 75mcg Levothyroxine and 15mcg T3 for the last 6 weeks (having slowly increased T3 from nothing

My periods are pretty much bang, 28 days. On cycle day 21, I went a bit funny for 5 mins, hot sweaty, period cramps but then passed. Then on cycle day 24 I had a small bleed when wiping, very small but it was pink. Nothing cycle day 25 and then cycle day 26 and I had pink blood, once after wiping after

Liothyronine suppliers
hi there. My endocrinologist has suggested I try Liothyronine due to my low levels of T3. Unfortunately he is not able to give me an nhs prescription, but is willing to support and continue to monitor me if I were to source this myself. For anyone with experience in this I’d be really grateful for

New results…
Hi everyone, just a bit of background info: These are my NHS test results from Nov 2023: t4 13.8 (7-17) tsh 0.10 (0.20 - 4.50) although the TSH came back slightly under range at that time, thankfully the GP said “no action” so I have carried on with 75mcg (have been having my usual brands - no

Frustrating GP appointment
I've been struggling with a return of some hypo symptoms since my tsh-must-be-in-range focused GP reduced my Levothyroxine from 100mcg daily to alternating between 100mcg and 75mcg. Since then I've had problems going to the loo, I've put on that much weight I can no longer fit into my jeans, I'm constantly

19 year old son, blood results. Only taking 75mcg levothyroxine but results show high T3?
Hi everyone, My 19 year old son is having symptoms returning. Backround tiredness, low resistance to bugs and migraines seem to be comming back. He has been on Levo 75mcg for 3 months. Initially Doctor started him on 25mcg Levo last summer. He has responded really well to the levo, resolving most

Hi I posted a while ago about the brand of thyroxine I’m on (Accord), just had my blood results. Recently moved doctors. After getting my results doctor has advised if you take thyroxine the NHS will only test TSH now. My old doctors used to do T4 and TSH. I could never get T3 done. On a positive
