allergy test
I have developed eczema to the extent that I now have an itchy rash on large areas of my body. This has happened over the last few days and I have decided I want to have an allergy test as seeking the answer by food elimination is not working. can anyone recommend a self test before I approach my GP

Banging my head against a brick wall
ferritin is only 8 still (5-204) HB is 124(115-160) I believe you can have iron deficiency without anaemia but GP, consultant , won’t have it. As said before, can’t tolerate any oral iron and because my HB is in range I’m not a candidate for ferritin infusion although have had one when ferritin was

NHS app
Hi all, I hope everyone has had a good weekend. I’m wondering if anybody knows if what appears as a consultation on the NHS app matches what is written on the system the GP’s use? To give some background I had an appointment about a mole like mark on my leg. GP sent me away with steroid cream as

Persistent trace/low level protein in urine
Hi all I've had persistent trace or low level amounts of protein in urine tests since April -checked on 5 occasions at hospital. Sometimes there is also trace amounts of blood or white cells too. Is this something to worry about or just part of the disease? I get cystitis a lot, but doesn't necessarily

NDT-online
Hi everyone, Over the last 4 months, I've been taking Thyroid S, and it works better for me than T4 or T4 + T3. I am not in the UK, so I buy my medication online. Can you please share your experiences with Thyroid S and other brands of NDT? I know that Armour seems to be the best, but I'm not sure if

What should FHS level be in post menopausal women?
Hi I am 61 years old and definitely post menopausal. I have just received a letter following my recent endo appointment and it states that oestrogen levels were negligible and fsh was 19. I just want to check if this is normal. I thought the fsh should have been much higher. Thank you so much

Hi all, Underactive Thyroid diagnosed in 2018, have been taking 125 Levothyroxine since then with minimal changes in bloods in this time, well managed symptoms and not much to report. Had routine bloods done in May to find a low TSH of 0.27, GP asked for bloods again in 3 months and have just had

levothyroxine and metavive?
Hi - I just wondered if anyone takes levothyroxine and metavive together. I take levothyroxine for Hashimoto’s. It’s ok but I don’t convert from T4 to T3 that well - I wondered if a small dose of metavive in addition would help? I’m on a 100 of levo and was thinking of adding a very small dose of metavive

rls and gabapentin
I just started on gabapentin. 100 mg. Not planning on going up at all. Just sticking to 100 mg. It has helped me sleep a bit. Which is amazing. I have had heart palpitations before I started this medication. I think due to low ferritin. But what are some of everyone’s side effects ? I am afraid of this

T3 combined with T4, good effects but also negative ones
i have Hashimotos and have been on t4 only for the past 15 years. I started feeling more tired over the past few years. I wanted to try t3. An endocrinologist put me on 137mcg of t4 and 10 mcg of t3. My original t4 only dosage was 145mcg. When t3 was added, I immediately started to feel more focused

Melatonin and thyroid disease
I have hypothyroidism and Grave's disease the Graves' is currently in remission and I am on a T4 and T3 combo. I am currently on a good level of medication (for the first time since I became unwell about 10 years ago). I also have ADHD and for my entire life I have had huge problems falling asleep

Mody type 10
Hi, I’m Rexi and I’m from Germany. Over 30 years ago, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I spent a year without insulin and have been taking insulin since then, but only very, very few units. Since my C-peptide level is still quite high and I have no antibodies, a genetic test for MODY was done. It

thyroid symptom
Hi, Sometimes when I walk I experience this sensation that the surrounding is not moving, yet I am walking. It feels like being on a treadmill and caught in a loop. I have to look at the ground or I can get panicked. I don’t know if it’s vertigo or anxiety, I didn’t experience this prior to thyroid
