Disclosing CKD
Hi everyone, I need some advice. I don’t know if I should disclose my medical condition to my employer. I was recently diagnosed with with CKD. I found out in June I had CKD. I only confided in one colleague. After my biopsy I found out I have Stage IV CKD, just last week. It is caused by IGA Nephropathy

Fatigue
3rd mth into dialysis. Last few sessions have really felt the fatigue issues, to the point of barely being able to function. I know is normal response to treatment. Does it get any better? Labs are fair.

Can you get dialysis with no money
I am get very close to the stage where I will need dialysis. I am about to lose my job and insurance. Will I be able to have dialysis when I have no way to pay for it or do I just have to slowly die. Don’t mean to sound morbid but I really would like to know what happens to people like me. Thanks

Missing member.
I’m getting really concerned as I don’t seem to have seen Lilian226 posting for a while now. We used to p/m but it’s now two months since I heard from her. She had recently been diagnosed with another serious health condition requiring Dialysis. I really hope someone can put my mind at rest.

Seen a great Nephrologist today
33 y/o, Female. I’d like to share my experience and the information I received from my Nephrologist today and apparently he’s one of the best in L.A. I’m hoping that you might find this useful. eGFR is 52 from 59 last March. I was asked to do a renal scan flow and it showed that my REAL GFR is at 35

First Appointment Today
Hey guys today is my first appointment with a Nephrologist, I got out of the hospital last Thursday and they diagnosed me with stage 3 CKD when I went in because of chest pains. My blood pressure has always been high and that’s my main reason for this diagnosis. I have recently cut out coffee which was

GFR and Potassium
My latest gfr's over one month dropped from 13% to 11% to 9%, I am working hard to find a living donor. I was told that if I have to go on dialysis before receiving a kidney it could cause complications with the donation or cause the kidney to last less longer, does anyone have experience with this

Hi I'm new to this group my mom has kidney failure and she is on dialysis 3 days a week. I prepare all the meals and I'm looking for good recipes or the dos and don't of what she can or can't eat. I'm trying to do the best I can when it comes to fixing the foods she can eat

Rapid decline in gfr
The last month has been challenging. At the start my gfr was 56 one week later 41 now 35. All my other numbers in the normal range. Had my ultrasound and it show no blockages or anything abnormal. Good report. BP is low due to medications. No symptoms other than fatigue. Eating a good diet, losing

Itching
I recently had a renal cancer removed from my right kidney. The left kidney is small and doesn't work too well. I thought that there was enough kidney remaining to work normally, but recently I have been itching all over my body. My dermatologist told me that it may be because what's left of my both

Some advice please
Hello, I'm looking for some advice. 3 weeks ago, my dad of 66 went into hospital for an elective lobectomy. He had only one day's notice for the procedure following a few weeks worth of preliminary tests. Following the surgery, he was moved to HDU and then to the ward and was set to come home. The
