He is on peritoneal dialysis (has done well on it for 18 months!), and ended up in the hospital with COVID a month ago. It was a long haul, but he has pulled through.

My spouse is currently receiving peritoneal dialysis and moving forward to the transplant list.

Hello, I've been on peritoneal dialysis for five years and I feel great. I'm 59 years old, female, African American. I'm very active. I teach four line dance classes every week. I attend another. I attend church regularly, and work in our Good Works minisrty.

On December 26th, I started receiving Peritoneal Dialysis daily while at home. I healed from the procedure and immediately began learning the ins and outs of dialysis through Davita Home Options. Without their help and constant support, I do not know if I could have done it all on my own!

In April 2024, I was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease and now rely on peritoneal dialysis (PD) 7 days a week. Dialysis is exhausting and restricts my daily activities . I hold a Masters degree from Purdue and work as a Data engineer in Silicon Valley.

I am not able to do peritoneal dialysis. After the surgery, it will still be a couple of months before they can even use that spot for dialysis, and it sounds like I'll need it sooner. I'm stressed. I can't find a donor. I can't do PD.
