Hi All, I am 21 years old and was recently diagnosed with acute renal disease- Stage 5. Unfortunately my nephrologist conducted a biopsy and concluded that the damages in my kidney are irreversible. I am still able to urinate and don’t have many symptoms, but was told that I need a kidney transplant

A Kidney Needed
Just reaching out to anyone to help us find a living donor for my amazing fiance. He is a father of four and going strong. On dialysis now since June and the side effects are horrid but we have faith 2018 is the year of a donor. Is two hours a day of spreading the word enough?

Getting more information on PKD
Dear All, This is my first post, but I follow the posts with interest. I am female, 64, and have known that I had PKD for 30 years . In those days there was not as much knowledge and support as now, and I believe that those of us who have this condition will have much better opportunities to deal with

Staying strong in time of suffering symptoms!!!
Health unlocked Many of us are bound and under bondage and control by our many types of medical symptoms that prevent us from having a full life and effecting any treatment like dialysis that I need. Christmas
Well I have dialysis tomorrow morning since my usual Monday treatment is Christmas day. This really sucks, getting up at 4:30 in the freezing cold fills me with such dread! Moments like this I hate life! What's even worse is I have nothing to give these guys who keep me alive and sometimes laughing for

Cost of anemia meds once Stage 5 on dialysis
I'm barely surviving now on SS as my sole source-of-income. It's sites like this one: https://www.drugs.com/price-guide/triferic that make me wonder if I'll survive for very long if I board the dialysis train. ...from $1,546.37 for 1200 milliliters (one dose?) Comments? I won't qualify for Medicare

Living on dialysis
To all of the people on dialysis count Your Blessings. Without dialysis we all know what would happen. So instead of complaining, thank God for the miracle of dialysis, we wake up every day. When I wake up the first thing thank God for another day with my loved ones. This is the only organ disease
