Peritoneal vs Incenter Nocturnal Dialysis
If I do not get a transplant first, I may have to choose a method of
dialysis
. My doctor recommends
peritoneal
but I'm attracted to incenter nocturnal
dialysis
. Does anyone have information on how each compares in regards to how the recipient feels generally from each?

Partner fighting in ICU
My partner has been in ICU for just over 24 hours. He has liver disease (recently diagnosed cirrhosis), diabetes (recently diagnosed) and pneumonia. He has been put on a ventilator as he was struggling to breathe on 100% oxygen. He has now been put on dialysis to help his kidneys and I’m going out of

Anxiety, Dizziness, Etc. (I'm New Here)
The last few weeks I have really been stressed out with being a caregiver for my parents. And, I have been experiencing a lot more anxiety, I have had some dizziness and light-headedness issues. I don't like feeling that way; as I am sure that no one would. I had back surgery in January of this year

Negative transplant experience
I am 2 years post transplant. At the begining of the my transplant I was so happy and positive but as soon as I started taking the medications I started to feel bad day by day. I have not recovered since then. Everyday I think to myself should I take the meds or not. As soon as I take the meds I

Is there anyone out there who wishes they didn’t get the transplant and would have just stuck to dialysis?
I’m 25 years old and I’ve had kidney failure for a year and a half now. I’m going to my transplant center to start testing in about 2 weeks and they sent me some videos to watch before coming. After watching these videos I’m questioning if transplant is even worth it? seems like so many complications

Living on a narrowboat
I am likely to start on
dialysis
some time this year and was going to opt for
peritoneal
dialysis
. Does anyone have any idea if this is viable on a narrowboat? I would be considering the overnight dialysis, not continual. Many thanks for any thoughts.

Anyone Working on Dialysis?
I'm 57 and have stage 4 CKD. They have found no "official" cause. I have T2 diabetes, but it is considered in control (or it was until they stopped my metformin) and I have no other diabetes related conditions. I have lived without a colon for 27 years and am often dehydrated. On July 4, 2020 I got a

Dialysis Unit Too Cold
My husband has been on dialysis for 21 years and it didn’t just happen, it came from doing what was right and listening to his body. He knows when he has infections on board and the doctors listen to him and treat him for it before it gets worse. His problem now is a certain technician that’s going through
