Hi Rana I am very sad about your problem because it’s solution is difficult unfortunately.
I am a dialysis doctor in Turkey and I was the president of the association of the dialysis centers. Because of my these jobs, I know very well that Turkish social security institution (SGK) does not paid for dialysis treatment in the abroad, unfortunately. Only way you can paid the dialysis cost by yourself but it is too expensive in the UK.
I also will research if you can find some solutions about this issue. If I find some suggestions for you I will write again.
Thank you for your msg. Yes today I found out that SGK doesn’t pay the cost of dialysis in UK but they do pay in Germany 🙄 Plus yes as a private patient it’s quite expensive in uk I asked the one of the private clinic today and the price was I got it’s £500 per session. I m going to try nhs hospital tomorrow. Let’s see thanks for your sport. Stay safe. Regards
Rana as someone who was on dialysis for nearly five years and during that time was well looked after in dialysis units abroad I am so sympathetic to you’re parents situation. I sincerely hope you can find a solution and good luck on the birth of you’re baby.
