Shingles vaccine
Hi I have been getting recurring shingles for the past two years. Doctors refuse vaccine because of my age (nearly 51) Has anyone had the vaccine ? And benefited? Many thanks

Tens Unit
I need more information about TENS Units. I had one back 10 years ago when I fractured a disc in my back and had sciatica pain..... a lot of things has changed since then although my old one still works and was surprised that my pain had subsided a little after wearing it. Are the ones I see online

Is ET a chronic illness
Just about to see works Dr for my routine check up. I have sciatica. Have had for a good year in both legs. Is my ET seen as a chronic disease. I know it may seem a silly question but I'm fairly new to all of this. I'm still waiting for a response from my haematologist about treatment. My platelets

TENS machine - AMAZING!
Woke up in real pain this morning - I've avoided painkillers because the main source of my pain is my twisted bowel - painkillers make the constipation worse and so consequently cancel out their effectiveness. This morning on the way to work I was about to concede. Was planning a box of solpadine and

Haven't left house in 5 days!
I feel completely trapped at home, I haven't left the house for 5 days, the only person I see is my dad. Don't get me wrong it is great to be able to spend so much time with my father, as he is 77. However I am craving contact with the outside world. Every time I leave the house within an hour the pain

TENS
I have had severe back pain for several months now. Investigations are ongoing. The doctors have yet to find effective pain relief for me without bad side effects. I heard about TENS and checked out where to get a machine. I found one for £9.99 on eB** and bought it just to try it out. It provides much

Migraines linked to B meningitis?
when I was 5 I had bacterial meningitis and ever since I have suffered from bad headaches and migraines I am now 16 and they are getting worse. I have also been passing out recently. I was wondering if they could be linked to the illness in anyway? Does meningitis have after effects?

Sacroiliac area and groin pain ( I cannot lie down or sit)
Hello, I put off going to bed until I am utterly exhausted as I cannot lie down, sitting is equally painful and limits the distance I can travel. I have had so many nerve blocks and a denervation's that I have lost count. The GP prescribes Tramadol which does not help at all and I am on an anti inflammatory

5 year old has viral meningitis.
My son 5 has viral meningitis now, he is fine at home. But if we have to go for a car ride, maybe for a follow up appointment, he screams a 10 of 10, cries and most times vomits. I thought it was the light exposure but now I really think maybe it's the motion? How long will this last? He was diagnosed

Really scared of going 'Cold Turkey'
Hi Guys After some lovely people responded to my first post on here I thought I would share my anxiety with you and see if anyone has any pearls of wisdom. I've had Headache and Migraine for 20 years. Taken so many different preventatives, tried Botox, Nerve Blocks, some machine that I had to hold against

Hi everyone have not been able to get back here as much as I would like but life just got really busy. Work is just crazy and the kids are ready to be done for the year. I sure know I am ready for summer break. So being that busy means the pain gets ahead of me I have to take my pain killers even

Hi folks, Been long time since I posted here. I have trigeminal neuralgia and this forum has been great. I've been busy these past few months- I had a nerve abilation and 2 stellate ganglion nerve blocks but I feel like I'm back to square 1 again. I feel like the pain is worse than ever now and I'm actually
