Ovira TENS unit - works for me!
Hi, just wanted to post that I recently got an Ovira TENS unit after months of deliberating and reading product reviews, and I wish I’d bought it months ago! It has been doing a great job controlling my pain. I wore it while driving for two hours yesterday (seatbelts make my pain worse) and was far more

Continuous pain
Waiting for laparoscopy and changing to a combined pill. I'm in absolute agony continuously. I'm on gabapentin and mefenamic acid and paracetamol. I've been using a tens machine and hot water bottle. If any one has any suggestions to relieve pain I am really open at this point I'm just so fed up

I am 27 I have been a bartender/server since I was 16. I recently had to stop bartending due to covid effecting income and

Scrotal Nerve Block - What to expect
I've had significant left sided testicular pain for years. I've been in an endless loop of treatment at my Urologist's office. He prescribes Celebrex and antibiotics. At the end of the antibiotic treatment I'm finally pain free for a week or two. I asked him about a scrotal nerve block. He doesn't

"Today's anxiety attack is a real belter, how do I cope?"
You cope with it by doing nothing. That's right, nothing. You accept it for the time being. You agree to co-exist with it for the moment. You engage in 'masterly inactivity' to use the words of the woman who cracked the anxiety code and cured tens of millions of people of their anxiety disorder. And

Any advice on PN Block
Pudendal Nerve Block - I am having this procedure tomorrow - just a tad nervous - reading all the comments on here, I am not expecting miracles. My problems started three years ago after zip wiring - but maybe I was a bit daft at 70 years of age.

Any studies on longterm effects of live shingles vaccine and PMR
I was wondering if anyone knows of any studies that have been done about those of us that contracted PMR after taking the live shingles vaccine. I wonder if PMR will last as long in our system as the shingles vaccine antibodies are active in our system? The pharmacist says the antibodies last 5+years

Phantom Pain
As many of you will have read I had a left leg BKA (below knee amputation) a month ago today due to complications of PAD (peripheral arterial disease). With tens of thousands of members I cannot be the first or last amputee. Famous people who suffered the same fate include Jan-Michael Vincent (who played

Viral meningitis last month
Last month, July 2020, I was diagnosed with viral meningitis after being misdiagnosed with covid (by two different md). So it went on for about 11 days before being diagnosed at the tail end of it. Now, a month later I am still having grogginess and eye spots, major fatigue. Several other lingering symptoms

Recovery begins with one small step.
You have taken the first step towards recovery. You have decided to FACE the reality of your anxiety disorder. No more worrying that it's some life threatening physical affliction. No more telling yourself the doctors "must have got it wrong". It's anxiety disorder for certain. The next step is to ACCEPT

Seen a lot of posts by people with all kinds of side effects from this disease so I just thought I’d put this out here in case someone can benefit from it - wondering if anyone else out there has come across the People’s Chemist? It’s operated by medical chemist Shane Ellison M.S. who formerly worked

Few minutes ago I decided to go buy something, fried egg and bread and tea. The place where they sell it is a very busy area. I decided to go there since its been a while since I went out to the public and on my way there I bought card to call a friend and I called him but he wasn't with his phone when

Question on penile nerve block injection sites recovery after circumcision
I had circumcision about 2 months back. Local anesthetic, penile nerve block injections I believe, were used as well as general anesthesia. It seems I have some minor pain, discomfort in areas of the shaft, where I believe the injections were done. Dr. had said it takes time to heal, when I last visited

Fed up and Exhausted
I now have back spasms as well as
pelvic
spasms. Need to pee constantly due to
nerve
and bladder
damage
. The total exhaustion is really getting me down, most days I’m in bed more hours than I am out of bed. I wake up still feeling exhausted and nothing helps.

Pelvic floor muscle strain (pubic muscle)
Hello everyone, My nightmare started in September 2018, when during maintenance at the vessel I was working, I was asked by the pumpman to assist him in lifting a ballast ventilation head. I was inexperienced and I didn't know how much heavy it was. When we lifted it and tried to put it on our right
