Hello everyone,
My nightmare started in September 2018, when during maintenance at the vessel I was working, I was asked by the pumpman to assist him in lifting a ballast ventilation head. I was inexperienced and I didn't know how much heavy it was. When we lifted it and tried to put it on our right side, I opened a little bit my feet and the I felt a sharp pain in the pelvis and then I gave up and left the object. The pain was permanent for at least a weak and after that it was observed when I lifted any object more than 5 kilogrammes. On February I disembarked from the vessel and I started visiting doctors to find out what was going on. After having an ultrasound check at the muscles of the pelvic floor, I was told that there was a strain (14,4 milimetres) at the left side of the pubic muscle. The pain at the center of the pelvis that period was unbelievable, since I had lifted my suitcase when I disembarked and it had worsened my condition. I was suggested to start physiotherapy, so I did. I had diamagnetic pump, magnetic fields, Tens for a year and a half. However, the symptoms at the center of the pelvis (pain at the pelvis, neuropathetic pain like being hit by electricity at the pelvis, pain when walking) persisted until February 2019. Today after having an extremely pleasant period of 3 months where I walked normally and had all my life back, I was suggested not to hesitate to get back to my normal life. I start swimming sessions without putting much stress to my feet.. however all the happiness of getting my life back flew away, since I felt again sharp pain at the left side of the pubic muscle when walked and the ultrasound that I had a few days ago showed that the strain in the same place is 4 milimetres long. I am suffering even to walk more than 50 metres without any inclination on the road. I have started again physiotherapy adding to the aforementioned treatment the class IV laser, but so long I have not seen any improvement.
I would like to know if anybody has experienced the same or similar situation, and if and how he managed to be treated.
