parenting a child with adhd
hi my son has an extreme case of adhd and I need help with understanding him better and how to parent him better. I feel like I’m failing as a mom and I need help. I have him in therapy and he is on two different medications and he is outside a lot. I may need help on what foods I shouldn’t give him

Frustrated
She calls him to give us
parenting
advice and tell us that she doesn't agree with the way we choose to parent. She manages his finances and work prospects.

Any help for Partner of 'possible' ADHDer?
Feel like my partnership was difficult for a long time, but my
parenting
was solid and my kid(s) are amazing. But with my partner speculating about out kid it really has me questioning how much is actually sustainable for me. Any advice, encouragement, or your own similar stories will help.

support group for single fathers w ADHD child?
He is a single dad, (co-
parenting
with child's mother), of a 7-year-old 2nd grader with sometimes severe ADHD. His son can be violent. My grandson has been seeing a therapist for around two years but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Middle aged, divorced with 2 children, 1 special needs and dealing with depression and anxiety.
Living,
parenting
and custody arrangements increased daily stress greatly and made life seem even more uncertain and up in the air than ever.

Oh! Me too...ugh
Needless to say,
parenting
is tough and I'm struggling. I feel like I often do the wrong thing for my kids and I'm not sure how to do better.

Parenting a possible ADHD child with an insensitive partner
Hi, my 5 YO daughter has all the classic symptoms of ADHD. She cannot focus on anything for more than a couple of minutes, has severe mood swings, hurts others because she has really poor impulse control, and feels comfortable only around me. My husband too, has very little control over his own temper

11yo school refusal when with mom, aggression
His father blames me and my
parenting
for my son refusing to go to school, and says stuff about me in front of our son constantly to belittle me. His father is a bully, and I see that in my son too.

I'm about to be a dad, advice on mental load.
My goal is to have a good balance of
parenting
roles, so we both have energy to keep some of our current lifestyle. Maybe this is too ambitious, but I'd like to really carry my share of the load. Fully carry the load. Thanks Tito

Suggestions Please! New Extracurricular Activity for 10 year old gal
I'm in a moment of
parenting
uncertainty here and would love your suggestions. My 10 year old has been doing taekwondo for nearly 3 years and is inches away from getting her black belt. But in order to do the black belt test, you have to take 15 sparring classes.

Helping from afar
Between her work,
parenting
or being away from our son, and not balancing life in general her mental state keeps deteriorating. I am trying to be supportive and loving, but she keeps pushing away.

Have any of you read ''Scattered Minds" by Gabor Mate?
I guess I can't help asking myself the question -- what does the fact that my child has ADHD mean about my
parenting
? In the part I just read today, it almost sounded like he was arguing that most ADHD children experienced abuse in their homes.

4 year old and waiting for turns
I have done so much research, therapy and learning when it comes to my own ADHD and now
parenting
my 4 year old with it. I am at a loss now. He wanted to to do gymnastics, but the class isn't set up well for him.
