9 year old son with Emotional Outbursts
He also does some group therapy but it's more geared towards us on
parenting
strategies and how to manage "big emotions." I'm glad I found this group because sometimes it is a daily struggle at home and mentally/emotionally exhausting for both my wife and I to manage/help our son.

Thinking about really hurting myself.
Hi everyone, my wife and I have had 2 big fights lately and we are on the verge of co
parenting
. My wife basically blames me for her being in the state she is from, we moved from my home state because of no good jobs to make it on.

Motherhood with hypothyroidism
I'm really curious to know how other hypothyroid women have managed to cope with motherhood and whether they feel their condition has affected their
parenting
abilities. Would appreciate any thoughts/stories. Thank you.

What are some common misconceptions about autism that parents should be aware of?
I heard from one of the person that autism is caused by bad

so is it true?

Weekend Resentment and Anger
I feel that at the weekends we should share the
parenting
and responsibilities but I basically feel I am still doing it all and just having to manage my partner's needs and wants on top of my little one's. I tried to talk to my partner about it but he just keeps on saying we can 'get in some help'.

A couple of free crash courses I wish I had access to a few years ago - I hope it helps someone out there!
Check with your pediatrician, request a referral to a behaviorist, and inquire if there are any
parenting
programs offered that are covered by your insurance.

Good Morning
Parenting
can be so tough and hearing from others experiencing similar, can make you feel less alone and the support or suggestions from those who have experienced and come out the other side can be a game changer.

How to support a six year old with her social skills
We already get
parenting
coaching on a monthly basis. Although the therapist suggests not to intervene if we witness or notice problems in social interaction with other kids, I still wonder and am curious how you handle such situations.

Feeling the stresses of parenting a child with ADHD
How do I learn to ignore my child when he gets so angry at me? I totally get why and that the ADHD interferes with his emotional control and ability to self regulate. He has become so irritable and it’s like a ticking time bomb that I have to tip toe around. And I am the parent who gets hit the hardest

I understand my son is difficult, and
parenting
right now is hard and exhausting. But he's only a 5 year old kid.

Why are parenting books so far off?
It seems that the hardest part of
parenting
ADHD is that it looks so different than mainstream or neurotypical
parenting
. The books written on How to Parent just don’t apply when you kids is wired differently. So what are you supposed to do? Well, coming to a group like this is fantastic.
