HELP. SCIATICA HAS GOT ME.
I have COPD and have scoliosis. I have had sciatica originating in my right lower back/buttock right down to the toes since January this year 2019. It is the most painful thing imaginable and I cannot even begin to describe it. All I know is that pain blockers (Pregabalin 00mg. twice a day) and intermittent

I saw my GP a few weeks ago, with 3 pages of symptoms which I feel are liver related. This includes URQ pain, and also pain in back and right shoulder, itching, pale oily stools, night sweats, bile taste in mouth and cramping limbs (toes, fingers the lot.) My symptoms have progressively got worse over

ANY ADVISE AT ALL PLEASE
Hi All, just a Quick question. I normally suffer chronic IBS,but yesterday I think I had a yogurt that was off. I had a temperature, which I took Paracetamol for,and that calmed down. But I felt so ill,and I was on the toilet 6-7times. After taking a Temazapam I finally fell asleep and had a good

Another puzzle - Addison’s?
Hi I’m hoping someone might be able to help me as I’m really struggling. Apologies for posting this here as I don’t suffer with thyroid issues, but a lot of posts about Addison’s have popped up here so I’m hoping someone may be able to help. I’ve been struggling for a few weeks now when I started

Laparoscopy notes
Had my first laparoscopy in July and was diagnosed with endo. A friend of a friend is about to undergo her first one, with suspected endometriosis so I wrote her an email with tips/advice from my experience. Thought I’d post it just on the off chance that it may help anyone else. Feel free to take what

Flare?
I was diagnosed with PMR in December 2018. I was started on 16mgs and have slowly tapered to 4mgs. 4 is as low as I can currently go, as an attempt to drop lower resulted in pain within 3 days. I had been pain free at 4mgs for 8 weeks. Last week, out of the blue, I started waking up with the familiar

Cold remedies
31 weeks and I've come down with a nasty cold and really need some relief. I've been doing all the usual things: warm steamy baths, honey and lemon tea, paracetamol. But I am really struggling! Is there anything else anyone can recommend?

I have joint pain due to hormone therapy medication I have to take for breast cancer. The main effect is mildly in the wrists, ankle and knees. Recently though my back and hip became quite painful. Aortic Valve Replacement - into the forth week.
Hi all, Now in to my forth week after my valve replacement and I am really starting to see an improvement. I am not saying the first three weeks there wasn't any, just that I fell better most of the time rather than just 'occasionally'. I was informed that healing, in this sort of Op, is not a linear

Head cold....pah! : (
Over the last few hours, i have developed a wonderful constantly runny nose, that actually keeps dripping!!... Really cross, as not had a cold for 2 years now...... I take Warfarin, so I guess the only thing I can take to alleviate my symptoms is Paracetamol? Looks like yoga, is off the cards tomorrow

Like many people on here, the pharmacy practitioner from my doctors surgery has decided she is taking me off morphine slow release tablets and oramorph, I’ve been on the same dose for 6 years, I’ve really really struggled to not let my dose go up, regardless of the pain, as I’m a carer for my 82 yr

Can being hypo cause you to lose your voice for weeks?
Hi all, and thank you in advance for your input. I know I am very hypo atm as I am extremely symptomatic, but my doctor is waiting for my current illness (I'll explain further down) to pass completely before doing bloods as she says my levels will be off due to being sick. I am on 3 grains of Thiroyd

Doctors not taking my concerns seriously
Hi everyone, I haven't actually been diagnosed with endometriosis but I have severe period pains. When I'm on my period it feels like a constant stabbing and I struggle to stand, I also vomit whilst I'm on due to the pain. It's not always been this bad but for the last 3 years it's unbearable. Normal
