I had the ct head scan on Wednesday, it is just a waiting game now. 7 days before results are with my gp. Today I have headache and feeling a bit feverish but not a high temperature. Taken 2 paracetamol and drinking lots of water.

I am sure this will pass but if no better tomorrow I will get bloods done Monday.

I will update as soon as I know anything.

Take care, be well x

Hi Alley

Firstly I do hope your not suffering with the nasty bug that's going around the UK presently. Please try and keep wrapped up and stay in the warm and if possible eat lots of chicken soup 🍜 As for some apparent reason it does contribute to making you feel a little better so I'm informed.

Re your CT results ! I'm in the same situation and its now been 3 weeks since mine was carried out ! All being well I'm hoping to get some kind of diagnosis on the 7th of January ! Not knowing for almost 2 years the cause of my up and down flare ups has taken its toll as I seem to always have some kind of infection!

If nothing's confirmed on the 7th then a biopsy of my liver previously mentioned may have to be carried out!

In the meantime try your best to keep thinking positive thoughts Alley!

Finally, have a lovely Christmas and hope Santa brings you lots of happiness!

Loads of love Trish 💞☃️🌲🎅🍬💐

Hi Alley

I hope you get some answers from your scan. I had an MRI scan of my brain about 18 months ago. I wonder what the difference really is in terms of what they’re looking for.

I hope they show you the results on a screen, if nothing else it is a real experience to see inside your head, so to speak.

Did they tell you what they’re looking for, in my case I found out. afterwards that they were looking for Parkinsons - not sure what they would find had I had it! They didn’t but they did find something else - Cerebrovascular disease - which I assume was caused by the HE but they weren’t bothered about that - so nor was I..... 👍

Really hope they get to the bottom of what is causing your brain fog and general fatigue - you have been suffering with this for a while haven’t you 🙁.

Good luck

PS I am intrigued how you can just get “bloods done on Monday”? I have to get forms from the doctor and they decide if they are sending me for blood tests - not me. Have you got a more sympathetic doctor than I? Very interesting.

Hi threesmiles I have been given blood forms from my hepatolagist, but there have been so many ups downs and flares. I currently am only taking budesonide urso. I had big problems with mycophenolate side effects but what they are saying now is that, the mycophenolate brought the blood pressure issue out. I now take blood pressure medication.

I am not being funny but why don't they listen to us when we say, I don't think it's that, it's this because this adds up and that doesn't, if you get what I mean. If I am honest the first time I had serious problems with my head and blood pressure was when I was in hospital last November with a flare.

I think its related to the liver because the timing adds up. I mentioned portal vein hypertension, plus encephalopathy, but its been pushed aside....if there is anything I am sure it will show up on the CT scan.

Take care xx

Hi again

I am a big fan of CT scans - twice they have shown things that US scans haven’t- one being my Portal Vein thrombosis and the other being my hernia - prior to the CT scans I must have had over 5 US scans for the former and two US scans for the latter.

So I hope you at least get some answers SOON. 🤞🤞. It’s the waiting I hate tbh.....

Good luck!

Miles
