advice re knee pain.
hi, I’m a 58yr old, who suffers from an inflammatory arthritis, called ankylosing spondylitis, and mainly affects the spine but also peripheral joints. 10 weeks ago, I was on holiday in Devon, and suddenly noticed my left knee was buckling. A week later it gave way in the shower and I fell and gashed

Doctor won't diagnose PMR
I'm absolutely certain that I have PMR. But my blood tests all came back normal, including the erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the inflammatory marker test, and I'm only 56. My GP has just left me on NSAIDS and paracetamol with physio. It's not working. How common is it to have PMR with no obvious

Diclofenac
I am badly in need of pain relief for sciatica but terrified of triggering RLS. I am taking paracetamol, ibuprofen and gabapentin but wonder if diclofenac would be stronger than paracetamol.?

hello lovely ladies I’m hoping to get some reassurance as after 1 year of tests, IVF and fibroid removal I’m finally pregnant 6w5d. I’ve had covid for 3 days now and a fever of 38.6 max. It’s exhausting and much worse than other times… but fever and body aches are my only symptoms. NHS said drink

ibuptofen?
I am about 10 weeks post aortic valve replacement. Prior to learning I had aortic valve stenosis earlier this year I always regarded ibuprofen as a superior pain killer to paracetamol. Might have something to do with a childhood in Nottingham where it was developed by Boots! Tended to use it for the

I have been reducing steadily down to 2.5 using DL method with out any problems, then started reducing to 2 mg , (Monday 2 mg rest of the week 2.5 then 2 mg on Monday & Tuesday and so on.) Then I went out and trimmed the lavender bushes, very gently so I thought. However half way through I developed

Diagnosis
Good Morning I have suffered with my condition for over 20 years and have also been told I was born with it, the doctor agrees I have all the symptoms of fibromyalgia but says they haven't givin it that label as it all falls under the same umbrella of musculoskeletal disorder, which is what I have

help needed!
I would really appreciate any advice! My mum had her first round of paclitaxel and carboplatin on Thursday (stage 3c ovarian cancer, radical hysterectomy). Tolerated the treatment well, day 3 today and experiencing muscle and joint pain. Taken paracetamol and no temperature. Any help would be appreciated

AF and Arthritis
Hi everyone long time no post! Pleased to say the AF has been quite stable over the last 6 months or so, a few blips here and there but usually down to lack of sleep, bugs and dehydration! However over the last 2-3 months my osteoarthritis has been getting steadily worse to the point I've had trouble

spinal disc degeneration
I have recently been diagnosed with L4/5 degenerative discs, lots of pain for a year before an x-ray was done and showed arthritis in both hips too but mild at the moment. PA was not suggested as a link to the disc problem but I wonder if it may be. No treatment just paracetamol and exercises I can tolerate

CONCUSSION - HELP - ADVICE PLEASE
Hi All, A week ago someone hit a phone over my head (by accident )- I have this bruise/bump on my forehead - I started to have severe headaches and a terrible pressure in my head. I took paracetamol and that didn't help. I went to A&E 4 days later - the CT scan showed no bleeds, fractures etc.

Shingles - does anyone have any advice?
morning all It’s been quite a ride…my ear started bothering me a bit on Monday . Just a small uptick in tinnitus which I tried to ignore. By Tuesday I was a bit worried because I have had total hearing loss in the past due to auto immune attack which was only (partially) restored due to mega doses of

Recovery time
Hello folks, it's been a while since I posted, or had anything to post about. I have to retire to my bed or any horizontal surface these days as my fractured vertebrae are soon put to the test and become uncomfortable if I'm sitting or standing for a while. Speed bumps are a menace and I always have
